Chapter 20: Prom part 3

-Lauren's P.O.V.-

"We are now going to announce Prom king and Queen! The principal said yelling into the mic.

I was excited to see the 2014 Prom King and Queen.

"Drumroll please!! 2014 Prom King is Cameron Dallas!!" The principal said yelling and clapping.

People were cheering and yelling! Cameron went up the stage. He received a crown on his head. He really did look like prince, but more like a King now.

Cameron had a huge smile on his face.

"Drumroll please!! 2014 Prom Queen is!!" The principal said yelling.

I already knew it was going to be Jessica. Jessica has been wanting this for a long time.

"2014 Prom Queen is Lauren Miller!" The principal said clapping and yelling.

People were cheering and clapping for me. I was so happy but I thought Jessica was going to get this crown. I take a look at Jessica and she was angry.

"I am dead meat now..." I whispered to myself.

I went on stage to claim my crown. I take a look at Cameron and he looked unhappy.

-Cameron's P.O.V.-

Our principal was announcing our Prom King and Queen.

I was surprised that I received Prom King, I was extremely surprised Lauren received Prom Queen.

I was happy for Lauren, but I was hoping that Jessica would get it. I tried my best to look unhappy because I didn't want Lauren to think I was happy for her.

Lauren came on stage and she was smiling. She looked at me and mugged me. I saw Lauren looking around,

and I heard her mumble..

"It is traditional that our Prom King and Queen share the Prom slow dance." The principal said in the mic.

I couldn't believe I had to dance with Lauren. I was really shocked... Lauren looked calm about it. Even though she didn't share eye contact with me.

How would Jessica react to this? I didn't want Jessica to be mad over the slow dance...

I looked at Lauren and pulled my hand forward to ask her if she wanted to dance. She put her hand in my hand in permission to dance.

The song 'Say Something' came on and we slow danced. We swayed slowly with the music and she rested her head on my shoulders. I was holding on to one of her hands and her waist. She held onto my hand and my neck.

We were half way into the song. I closed my eyes and didn't want this to end. I feel so passionate around Lauren. I feel something that I don't feel with Jessica.

Suddenly Lauren and I were pushed. Lauren fell to the ground.

-Lauren's P.O.V.-

I had to dance with Cameron. I didn't really care, I just wanted to get it over with.

He looked really unhappy and annoyed. I wonder how he was feeling...

I am pretty sure he wanted Jessica to win Prom queen.

He asked me to dance.. I took his hand in response.. We danced with the music and swayed...

Holding Cameron's hand was a feeling I could never explain. His hand were warm and soft. The way he held my waist, made me have butterflies..

Half way into the song I was pushed and I fell to the ground. Cameron was pushed back, but not hard enough for him to fall.

I looked and I saw Jessica screaming at me.
