Miss...Miss..
Sel-Se-Selena
Peter
A high shrill screaming as the car is slammed into he mountain. The scraping and tearing of metal against the hard rock. Orange fire flying specks across my face, burning the very skin they touch.
"It's not my fault."
"It's not my fault."
I'm so sorry for your loss.
"No, it's an accident."
Do you have any relatives?
"I'm sorry, but it happened!" I scream.
My hands hit the pavement as I hear y words echo around me. Peter still waiting in the car.
Selena, Selena, Selena.
I turn to an invisible voice and see my dead mother.
Her long blonde hair flowing in her face as the wind blows it. The blue piercing eyes biting at my soul. Her blush lips in a smile.
"Mom?"
Tears glisten down her cheeks. Then she walks closer.
Yes, Selena, Your so much older! A woman I'd say now.
"MOM! I miss you!" I scream at her.
Me too Honey...
Her eyes look at the car and smile warmer.
Is that Peter?
"Yes mom, that's him."
Mmm, he's way cuter in person than from up there.
"Up there? Heaven, you're all in heaven! Thank you God!"
Not...everyone.
"What?"
Your father...He wasn't the gentlest with me...or liquor...woman...children...anyone. Even his money.
"What are you saying? Dad didn't make it?"
Yes, he just wasn't fit for the position, but that doesn't mean that I love him less. I miss him no matter what he's done to me.
"What-"
I'm sorry, but I have to go, it's time for you to go. Just let go, and trust that you and Peter is all you're ever going to need at the moment. Trust honey, trust.
"MOM WAIT!! NO! DONT LEAVE IM NOT READY!"
The bright yellow light engulfs her and it's just me and the pavement.
It's not my fault.
Tears run at how the realization and vividness of the situation occurred.
