The next morning I woke up, my eyes feeling swollen and puffy.

Oh that's right, I has cried myself asleep. Again.

The rest of the balloon ride was a total blur. I just remember seeing the tears fall from Cody's eyes and feeling sick to my stomach.

I laid in my bed until 11 am, trying to push the memories out of my head. I decided to give up on love. Why should I try? Just so jerks can rip my heart out, throw it on the ground, and do the Mexican hat dance all over it, then say "sorry" and hope it's ok? Nuh uh.

I hadn't checked my messages for a while. I clicked my iPhone awake.

I chucked my phone at the beanbag across the room and sobbed in to my pillow.

Knock. Knock. Knock.

"Mom?" I replied.

"Nope!" Maci said and barged in. She sat on my bed and stroked my hair while I whimpered. After about five minutes I sat up.

"Do you think I made a mistake?" I questioned.

"Listn to YOUR heart, babe," Maci advised.

Hey Heart? Did I make a mistake??? Worst. Silence. Ever.

I mean, what Cody dis was totally wrong. But he did it because he loved me. And he wanted to be with me. But why did he hurt me?

I decides to check my phone. I listened to my voicemail.

"Hey Kyra. Cody again. Listen-" it sounded like he was...crying almost. "I know what I did was totally wrong. And I'm so sorry. I know I hurt you. But in a way, I don't regret it. Because if I didn't do it- I would never have got to love you. And. This song- is for you."

He started playing "Not Just You" an tears were streaming down my cheeks.

I'm listening heart- I know. We have to get him back.
