That night I was exhausted, but I couldn't sleep at all. How could I? Cody freakin' Simpson had kissed my cheek for Pete's sake!!

My mind was soaring. Cody or Noah, Cody or Noah?! Noah and I had so much history. But Cody- he just gave me this feeling deep inside my heart that made me think HE is the one. Strong words considering the longest converstion we'd ever had was at Pinkberry.

Just then my iPhone lit up "Cody" it read. I smiled. Maybe it was a sign that he was the one to choose- No! Bad Kyra! You can't make decisions on text messages!

From Cody:

hey Kyra how are you love?

To Cody:

im great hbu? Gr8 job 2nite btw :)

From Cody:

Thx doll, glad u and ur friends had fun

To Cody:

Speaking of which, Lacey is totally not my friend she's a total dimwit she's so obnoxious just a warning for u! Stay away! Hahaha

From Cody:

Oh ok but y do u hang with her then?

To Cody:

Well she's maci's stepsis so she gets her dad to make us drag her everywhere we go she's the queen of blackmail :P

From Cody:

thas not cool

To Cody:

Ya that reminds me um I'm totally sorry I know I kinda like lead u on and Cody ur awesome and I can't wait to hang out with u and be friends n stuff but um I have a bf ):

From Cody:

Um ok. Next time could you tell me that before I fall for you? Nothings worse then a tease. Kthanks. Bye.

I read his last message and my heart dropped. I decided to let him cool down and try to explain myself in the morning. Of course, if I ever got to sleep.

I woke up the next morning, and had one of those moments where for a split second you forget everything that happened yesterday and it comes rushing back and hits you like a train. My stomach twisted in to knots.

I hopped in the shower and sat down on the couch to watch T.V. I clossed my eyes for a minute, and the next thing I knew it was 3:00 pm!!

Dang! I hadn't even told Maci about Cody yet, so I grabbed my phone and the first thing I saw was "1 New Message from Cody" I quickly tapped it, my heart racing thinking of all the things it might say.

From Cody:

Hey I just wanted to say I understand about everything and if you wanna hang out this weekend at the pier and bring a couple friends that'd be awesome.

To Cody:

Thx so much for understanding meet u there at 3 sat.

I was really glad that he had forgiven me, but it also seemed to good to be true. I texted up Maci and told her our plans to meet at the Santa Monica Pier, definitely a place you have to check out of you're in the area.

I decided it'd be best if I didn't bring Noah. That couldn't end well.

Saturday came before I knew it and I had a super cute outfit picked out. Not that it mattered what anyone thought. I had a boyfriend...

I picked up Maci and we headed off. We stood in the front and sat on a bench when Cody pulled up in a Porsche. And- wait, was that a girl in the passengers side. The two figures walled toward us, interlockig fingers. A sting of jealousy went up my spine.

When, I realized, it was not a girl, but rather, a monster. Lacey. Lacey Van Kemp.

Maci was just as shocked as I, and luckily she spoke up.

"Um, when did this happen?" Maci asked coldly.

"Friday!" Lacey squealed.

You would think Maci would know if her sister was dating someone, but like any sane person, she doesn't generally assosciate with Lacey.

Friday was the same day Cody invited me to the pier. So this was a set up? He asked me here to show me his new girlfriend, who coincidentally I warned him to stay away from just about 14 hours before. Nothing sounds fishy about that.

Noah! You have Noah! I reminded myself, and said in my most carefree voice ever, " Whos ready to ride some rollercoasters?"

The pier was actually fun. But it seemed like any time I looked back at Lacey an Cody, he'd give her a quick kiss or put his hands around her waste or say something like " Your the most beautiful girl here," which I'll admit, bothered the heck outta me!

But things got better. Much better. As we were walking to go on the swings, a little boy walked right up to Lacey and as if on cue puked all over her! Maci an I forced ourselves not to crack up but she sooo deserved it!

"aaaaaach!" Lacey screeched, and Maci took her hand and lead her to the bathroom, leaving me and Cody to be by ourselves.

"So, Lacey?" I asked enthusiastically with a smirk. The joke was on him. He didn't know what he was getting in to.

"She's a really great girl!" he confirmed, but I could tell those words were hard for him to say.

"Totally," I said with a nod of my head and silently giggled to myself. I thought of saying what was really in my mind.

Why would you go this far to hurt me? I know I hurt you but not in my wildest dreams would I stoop this low.

But if I said that, it'd give him the satisfaction of knowing his little plan was a success, that it made me cringe every time he kissed Lacey.

"Hey," I said excitedly with a brilliant idea to give him a taste of his own medicine. " Why don't we double date tonight?"

If this worked out, I coul b all over Noah recalling all of our memories. That would do it.

"Sure. Cheescake factory at 8? I'll make reservations." Cody mumbled.

"Sounds great!" I said, just as Lacey and Maci walked up. Lacey smelled horrible- given what just happened. Have fun driving home with that, Cody.

"I think I've had enough fun today Ky, let's go," Maci begged.

We said bye to them and were on our way. I heard Lacey begging Cody to take her to Barney's a.k.a. a super expensive store where all the stars shop and buy her all these things.

Maci and I randomly belted the lyrics to "Golddigger" at the top of our lungs and cracked up in hysterics of giggles.

Before jumping in to our car I gave Cody one last flick of my fingers. This wa going to be one interesting night.
