I Always Want What I Cant Have: A Cody Simpson Love Story

Flying High? What a Lie.

Maci called me and said that Jake had set up a double date on a hot air balloon for tomorrow which I was totally excited for.

I had to find a cute hat for the date. I don't know why, I hear hot air ballooon and I think HAT so I went to a local surf shop.

And the last person I wanted to see was there. You guessed it, Lacey. I avoided eye contact until she ran up to me.

"Listen," she whispered, "I need to tell you something. Dont be mad at Noah- be mad at me."

"Did Noah put you up to this?" I scoffed.

"No. But listen. That day, when you walked in on us making out, Noah had nothing to do with it." Lacey insisted.

I rolled my eyes. "Ok, if it wasn't Noah then why would YOU make a move on a guy when you were dating a pop star?"

"That's the thing- I didn't want to. When we were at Barney's, me and Cody, after the pier. He said he'd make me a deal. He bought me whatever I wanted as long as you caught me kissing Noah." Lacey explained.

"Lacey," I spat, "I know we haven't been the best of friends, but making something like this up, is an all time low."

I walked away from Lacey who shrugged me off, found a hat, and left in a horrible mood.

The next day we arrived at the Hot Air Balloon place and got aboard. I was wearing a coral shoulder Shirt stainwashed daisy dukes my new hat and my Cody dog tag.

"I'm scared!" I whined as our balloon got higher and higher.

"I won't let anything happen to you!" Cody replied wrapping his arms around my waste.

I kissed him for a while, then we started making out until Maci and Jake started to pretend to be throwing up over the side of the balloon.

"Keep all parts of the body in the balloon at all times!" the guy guiding us along commanded.

We all giggled.

Then I remembered my and Lacy's conversation. "You'll never believe what the witch tried to tell me yesterday!" I claimed telling everyone her story.

I saw Cody's face fall.

"Are you ok?" I asked.

"Ya, I'm fine," he insisted.

My face began to feel hot. "It's not true, is it?"

His eyes darted from my gaze "Well..I. Uh," he stammered.

"Are you kidding me?" I retorted in disbelief, tears filling my eyes.

"Kyra- I swear- I," he mumbled.

"You PAID someone to hurt me Cody? Why? So I'd break up with Noah?!" I screamed.

Jake, Maci, and the guy running the balloon looked at their feet.

"But Kyra he-" Cody stammered.

"Forget it! Forget us we're through! This was all just your own little plan you want things to go your way! Well forget it!" I yelled tore of my dog tag and threw it over the side of the balloon, an watched it spiral down thousands of feet of air.

Tears were spilling down my face and the worst part was I couldn't get away. There was no where to run away from it all. Hello, I was in a hot air balloon. I wanted to jump off. But that would be stupid.

How could Cody bribe Lacey to kiss Noah just so I'd break up with him. All for his own selfish reasons!

"Excuse me sir," Jake spoke up, "I think it'd be best if we headed back."

"Sorry no alternate routes were going by plan so we'll be in here for another hour and a half or so." the man sternly confirmed.

Great. Here I was, in a tiny hot air balloon with the boyfriend I had just dumped, while Jake and Maci were suckig each other's face. It was the most awkward uncomfortable thing ever.

I could tell, I could just feel Cody trying to hold himself together. And I was too. How embarassing would it be if one of us completely broke down in front of the other. I just looked down, staring at everybody's feet across from me with my head in my hands.

And I saw drips. Little beads of water dropping. Right at Cody's feet.

also I know Cody would not do that to someone but you gotta have conflict in your story so ya haha
