Chapter Six: Vicy

We sit at the bar and smile at each other. There has been very little talking but, for Bruce a lot of drinking. I smiled at him, and he sighed "I wish I would of asked you out weeks ago" he said, and trailed his hand through my hair "I just didn't have the balls" he said, and I laughed smiling.
"I'm glad you grower them" I said, and he smiled, before gulping "Look, Tori. I'm leaving for L.A next week where it's sink or swim" he said, and my face fell "Oh" is all I said "I hope you do great" I added with a small smile and drunk my wine, he grabbed my face in his hands "I need a reason to come back, because of something I couldn't finish" he said, hurriedly.
"And, I like you too much than I need to, I know you won't leave Minnie Mouse. So, you wont come with me" he said, and then took bofh my hands in his "I like you too much, Victoria Mercury. Please let me do something" he said, and mobed in front of me so his face was level with mine, and kissed me in the bar.
Short and sweet, he pulled away and smiled at me "My first-" I stood up and kissed him, standing on my tippy toes, he smiled when I pulled away and I cleared my throat "Maybe.. we could head back to my place?" I said, and his arms wrapped around me as he grabbed our jackets and paid the bartender.
We walked to mine and Mia's, as he ran his hands up my shirt, I unlocked the door, and we went in, he kissed me and his hands had my shirt halfway off before I could Eben think and he tossed it on the couch, I looked around and didn't see Mia, she must be asleep.
He kissed my neck, and put me on our bar, as we kissed and I unbuttoned his shirt, after I got it open he rested his head on mine for a second, and started undoing my belt, that's when I saw it.
Her report, I froze and pushed Bruce away, and ran over to the table I picked it up and saw her Title and name, she wouldn't go to bed without finishing it, Bruce came over and looked too "Tori" he said, and i flew upstairs to her room, she wasnt there, her hoodie was gone.
I went back downstairs "Bruce, she isnt here" I said, and he had his shirt and jacket on I a flash, I did too as we we t out the door I locked it, and we went down the sidewalk looking in alley's yard, etc.
In a alley I saw familiar red hair, and a ball cap "Bruce!" I said, and we went to her, I kneeled down beside Mia and felt for a pulse. She was breathing but, it was faint.
"We need to get to a hospital" I said, and he picked her up "My car" he said, and we headed down the road to his mothers and put Mia in the car in the back I got in the passenger side as he crunk the car and we went to the hospital.
"Mia Kingsleigh, age seventeen... just get a doctor damnit!" I yelled, and kicked a hospital chair sending it flying through the room, and the nurse went from behind the desk to the back, coming back Shorty with a doctor a few other nurses and a stretcher.
I sat on the bench they had with my head in my hands and cried, Bruce came over and wrapped me in a hug "Vicy, she's okay. She will be."
"She's all the family I have, Bruce. Even my parents are dead."
He held me as I cried and I thought to myself, I ruined his moment at the house, then I looked up at him crying and he kissed my head. "She gave me a reason to come back" he said, and rubbed circles on my back, I gave him a look.
He smiled "What we didn't get to finish awhile ago."
