Chapter 43: Mia

Rikki and I walk hand in hand after the reception. I'm still in the stupid dress but I have Rikki's leather jacket over me. I'm wearing my Chuck Taylor's because I nearly died in those stupid as heels.

I should tell him. Like grow a pair, Mia! Like I don't think he'll leave, I mean I hope he doesn't leave. I hope, and pray to every god.

One, two, three.

"I love you, so so much." I say and Rikki smiles.

"I love you to, babe." He tells me.

"What if I were to say--that." I nervously laugh. "What if I was um, pregnant." I say while studying my shoes.

More than half of me was expecting Rikki to walk away right there but it never happened. He kept a firm grip on my hand and halted to a stop. I refused to make eye contact with him but I could feel his eyes on me. With his open hand Rikki gently brought my face back up, my mouth colliding with his.

We don't pull away for a while but when he do, Rikki smiles at me.

"You serious?" He asks quietly.

"Well I haven't gone to the doctors yet but I took a home pregnancy test and I haven't liked this much in my whole life--" Rikki starts laughing.

"Gross, babe." He laughs and I smile. "I'm going to be a dad."

"Yeah." I smile and he kisses my nose.

"That means Vicy and CC are going to be grandparents." Rikki laughs but then stops. "CC is going to butcher me!"

"Don't worry, Vicy isn't going to tell them until they're in the air. That way he can't come and kill you." I smile and Rikki laughs.

"Have this all planned out then?" He asks and I nod.

"I don't want my dad to kill the father to my child." I say and he smiles.

"Wait! Can we still have sex while you're knocked up?" Rikki asks and I think for a minute.

"I honestly have no idea." I admit.

"I'm going to ask the doctor that." He says matter of factly and I laugh

I love him so much. God I love him.
