Chapter 84: Mia

We just got home from getting Keith's passport created so we can go to Ireland in a couple of weeks. I'm not sure if everyone is going with us like we hoped but either way Rikki, Keith, and I are going to see my family.

I'm upstairs putting my sleeping son in his crib when I hear the nursery door close. I look back to see Rikki standing behind me. I smile and he walks up beside me. We look down at our baby boy and Rikki grabs my hand.

"Can you believe we created that?" I ask.

"Oh yeah, he's beautiful, Minnie Mouse. Just like you." Rikki says quietly and I smile. "It's weird how his eyes have changed colour, right?"

"It's normal for babies, Rikki." I say. "But usually they're born with blue eyes and change."

"You ready for Ireland?" He asks and I shrug.

"I'm not sure. I just hope they don't corrupt our child with extreme alcoholism and a highly potato based diet." I say and he smiles.

"You have so much faith in my family." Rikki says and pulls me towards the door. "We should let Keithy sleep."

We walk downstairs to the kitchen and get a couple bottles of beer from the fridge. We go into the living room and I lay my legs across Rikki's lap.

"I think we should give Keith a little sister." My boyfriend says and I look at him.

"Rikki, baby, I just got a child out of me. I'm not ready to go through that again." I say and kiss his cheek. "Maybe one day but not today."

"Well how about we do something else for our family." Rikki says and I look at him. "How about while we're in Ireland we get hitched?"

"You're being serious?" I ask and he smiles.

"Mia Arleen Kingsley, will you complete our family and marry me?" He asks and pulls a ring out of his pocket.

"Of course." I smile and kiss his lips. "I love you."

"I love you too." Rikki says and slips the ring on my finger.

I kiss his lips again and he kisses me back but the door opens. I look up to see CC standing in the doorway. I stiffen and Rikki tightens his grip around my shoulders.

"I uh, I came to apologize."CC says awkwardly. "But I think I'm interrupting something."

Then CC catches a glimpse of the diamond ring on my finger. His eyes grow and Rikki sighs.

"You asks Minnie to marry you?" CC asks quietly.

"Yeah, I did." Rikki admits. "We're going to elope in Ireland in a couple weeks."

"You were going to get married and not tell us?" He asks.

"In our defence we invited all of you to come to Ireland with us but nobody got back to us." I explain.

"Yeah, uh, okay." CC says quickly and walks out the front door again.

I just hope this doesn't make the fight worse.
