Chapter forty: Vicy

"Okay. Maybe Mia is right, we do sound like a horror movie mixed with a stampede" C.C. huffed and puffed out as he rolled onto his back, I looked up at the ceiling catching my breath "Damn" he said, and I looked over he was looking in his bedside table drawer.
He pulled out a box of condoms "I just bought this last week, and we are out" he said, throwing it at the trash bin, but missed completely and hit the wall, I rolled over on his arm and put my head on his chest.
"You better buy a box for the honeymoon" I said, and he chuckled "Yeah. We get married tomorrow" he said, and wrapped his arm tight around me. I smiled "Yeah" i bit my lip "Bruce-" i stopped. Do i need to tell him?
"What baby?" He asked, and gave me a worried look.
One.. two...three..
"Baby, I have cancer."
Its like he stopped breathing as he said "What?" I bit my lip as he sat up and looked at me, I pulled the cover over myself and I could already feel the tears coming on "In my throat. But, it's... not the real deal yet" I said, and he looked at me "Tori-"
"Go ahead. Say it. You dont want a girl who has cancer" I cried, and he hugged me.
"Victoria.. I can't and will never leave you, especially now. I will always be there for you" he said, and trailed a hand down my cheek "I love you too much to leave you."
"I love you too."
He kissed me and smiled "Your amazing. When did you find out?"
"The next summer after you left. I thought you would... leave me."
He shook his head "I couldn't. And I wouldn't leave you, your too precious to loose Vicy."
