"I told you he liked you." I smirk.

I sit on Vicy's bed as she gets ready for her date with Bruce. She scowls at me.

"What are you doing tonight, Minnie Mouse?" She wonders and I shrug.

"I should try to finish my The Outsiders book report for English." I say.

"How are you going to eat?" Vicy wonders and I smirk.

"With my mouth, Vic." I say and she glares at me. "I'll eat leftovers."

Bruce picks up Vicy and they both tell me to be good, to that I roll my eyes. I flip on the Rangers game and sit at the table working on my book report. I watch the game through before writing more than the title and my name on the page.

The phone rings and I run to catch it.

"Hello?" I say into it.

"Come to my house ASAP!" Bonnie, a girl from my rugby team says.

"Why?" I wonder.

"I did it." She says.

"What? Spiked your stepmother's wine with DrainO?" I smirk.

"I'll explain when you get here, just hurry."

I listen to her talk and hang up the phone. I lock the door up and run down the stairs. I jog down the street, it's cold in early January. Every time I breathe out it hangs in the air in little puffs of stream. I jam my fists in my jacket pockets as I cut down the ally, like I always do. I never actually done it this late before, it's almost midnight.

Before I know it, I'm circled by a gang. They all cat call, there's about six of them. I grip the knife in my pocket, knowing I can't take all of them even if I tried. They start to walk in towards me. In one last act of desperation, I scream as loud as I can. They just laugh.
