Chapter 66: Mia

"I love you." Rikki reminds me for the tenth time since we got to the doctors office.

"Baby, if you loved me you wouldn't make me come here." I say and he laughs. "It's not funny, you know I hate the doctors."

"Baby." He says as he grips my hand a bit tighter.

Rikki brings his hand up to his lips and kisses my knuckles. Out of the corner of my eye I see him smirking.

"I love you." Rikki laughs.

"I'm going to stab you." I try to sound serious but I keep smiling.

Rikki and I spend about five minutes making screwed up faces at each other and laughing. Earning glares from the 'mature' soon to be parents but screw them we're having fun. I finally press my lips to his and smile.

"I love you to." I tell him.

"Mia Kingsley!" The secretary calls and Rikki stands up, pulling me to my feet.

"Let's get this over with." I mumble and he laughs.

"You'll be fine, babe." Rikki says as he wraps his arm around my shoulders. I grab the hand of that arm and we follow the nurse back.

I get set up in this room with some rather disturbing posters on the walls. Rikki sits on a spiny stool at my head with his arms hugging me around the back of the bed. He kisses my cheek.

"You're okay, Minnie Mouse." Rikki whispers in my ear then kisses it.

"You can say that, baby, you're wearing pants." I say and he laughs.

"But I like when you don't wear pants." He mumbles in my ear again.

"Rikki!" I laugh and I hear the wheels on the stool move.

"Mia!" Rikki mocks and starts to bite my neck.

I spend the next while trying to fend off Rikki but he's stronger than me so that doesn't end well. So while Rikki is sucking on my neck, I guess we didn't hear the door open. Or the doctor walk in.

"Ahem." She clears her throat.

Rikki nearly jumps out of his skin and rolls himself into a wall. The shelves rattle and Rikki rolls back up to my head and he glows red. I giggle and turn back to the doctor.

She asks me a bunch of questions that I really didn't know the answers to. Then she started the sonogram.

"Okay listen here." The doctor says.

The machine starts to make a weird noise but I must make a weird face because she laughs and says.

"That's the baby's heart beat." She promises us.

The doctor points at the screen and we see a little peanut shaped blob.

"And there's your baby." The doctor shows us and I smile. Rikki's hand gets tighter around mine.

The doctor prints off the picture and hands it to me. She tells me she'll see me in a mouth and leaves Rikki and I in the room. I turn to look at Rikki and he smiles.

"We're actually going to have a baby." He says quietly and I smile.

"Holy shit." I laugh.

This all got real, really fucking fast. I don't know if I'll be able to do it. Oh my fucking God.
