Chapter 82: Mia

"Keithy, you wanna go see Grandma?" I ask him and he makes little gurgling noises.

"What about Grandpa?" CC asks and I make a face.

"How about I chop Grandpa into a second Grandma!" I snap and I see Rikki shift.

"Okay, easy babe." My boyfriend says as I hand Keith to Vicy.

"Okay boys, wanna go with me to get coffee?" Bret wonders. "I mean I'm going to make it the way that Minnie's people do." I flip him off.

"I don't think they have alcohol here at the hospital, Bret." Vicy says and he shrugs.

"We'll find some." He says and the boys walk out of the hospital room.

I sit on the bed beside Vicy and she sighs.

"He's gonna be pretty like you, Minnie Mouse." Vicy says and points his nose.

"I don't know, I think he's gonna be pretty like his daddy." I admit and she laughs.

"Red hair and blue eyes but Keith is going to look like Rikki." She laughs and I smile. "What's going on with you and your step father?"

"He's an asshole." I mutter.

"It's CC, baby girl, he's an asshole." Vicy says. "I thought you were used to it."

"I am, it's just." I sigh. "He didn't think Rikki and I were ready to be parents."

"Minnie." She starts.

"Vic, I love Keith more than breathing and I love Rikki. I might not have been ready to be a mom but I'm doing a damn good job. CC has no right to make me feel like I'm failing or disgracing him in anyway, shape, or form. He's not my dad, Vic." I say and she sighs.

"Min, you know that he loves you." Vicy says.

"He shouldn't bring my child into it." I say. "Is it because I'm not married? In all honesty Rikki loves me and I love him, we don't need a priest to make it official."

I take a deep breath and she smiles.

"You have a lot of rage in that little body." Vic says and I laugh. "I'll talk to him, he'll apologize."

"That reminds me, my gram wants Rikki and I to take Keith to Ireland. Would you be willing to come with us? I mean we want everyone to come." I explain and she smiles.

"I have to figure out this baby thing but I'm sure we can make it." She explains. "You think Rikki will ask you to marry him out there? I mean you always talked about getting married there."

"I don't think so, did he say anything to you?" I ask and she laughs.

"Not yet." Vic winks.
