*Gerard's P.O.V.*

I ended up apply to the coffee shop. But I was worried about Frank. He called again before he went to bed. He said he didn't want me to worry about him but I couldn't help it. He was slipping away and I knew he was.

The phone rang.

"Hello?"

"Hey, Gerard. Is it okay if I talk to you?" My mother said. She sounded a little worried.

"Sure, mom. Is everything okay?"

"I'm worried about Frank. He's not- he's walking around with his head down and when I look at him, he looks like he's..... he's-"

"Like he's screaming for help?"

"Yeah. He's so quiet. He's hardly eating. I can't- I don't know what to do."

"Is he awake?"

"No, he's asleep."

"When is his appointment?"

"Tomorrow morning."

"Let me be there. Please? He's scared."

"You're going to have to take him. They called me in for work at 7 tomorrow."

"Oh. When's his appointment?"

"10:30."

"Alright, I'll take him. Thank you so much, Mom."

"Gerard?"

"Yeah?"

"Talk to him, please?"

"I will."

"Goodnight, love."

"Night, Mom."

I drove to the house. And seeing as how I still have a key to the house, I let myself in.

"Frankie?" I called for him.

I went upstairs, hearing the water running then turn off. I knocked on the bathroom door.

"Frank, it's me."

"Hang on." He opened the door with a towel wrapped around his waist.

"Hey." He said with a slight smile.

"H- um- Hi." I cleared my throat. "Um- did mom tell you the plan?"

"Yeah."

I looked him up and down. Fuck- he was beautiful. "Um- get dressed. I'll be waiting for you downstairs, okay?"

"Okay."

I went downstairs, hearing the bathroom door shut.

A few minutes later, he came down. "I'm ready."

I looked up at him and smiled. "You're wearing my shirt."

"It smells like you."

I got up and walked up to him. I put my hands on his shoulders, rubbing them.

"Are you ready for this?"

"I-I'm nervous."

"You don't need to be. I'm here. I've got you. I'll be with you."

"The whole time?"

"If that's what you'd like."

He leaned in, burying his face in my chest and wrapping his arms around me. I held him for a bit, I knew that's what he wanted. He needed the comfort.

He pulled away. "We need to go."

I slipped my hand in his and we walked to my car.

I drove to the clinic.

When we got to the front desk, Frank was visibly shaking. I held his hand and squeezed a bit.

"Who's this for?"

"Frank Iero. I-E-R-O." I answered. "And I'd like to be there with him."

She looked up at me, clearly confused but I don't know why?

"Y'know, for comfort."

"Ah," She said, typing something into the computer. "Alright, just fill this out and come back when you're done."

I took the clipboard and pulled Frank into the waiting room.

He kept his head down.

I filled out the paper on the clipboard quickly with all the information I knew or Frank gave me.

I turned it in then returned to Frank.

"You okay?"

"Yeah, I'm okay." His leg started bouncing, he started biting his lip, and his breathing got heavy.

"Sweetheart?"

"I- I need some air." He got up and ran to the doors.

"Frank!" I ran after him.

"If they call for him, tell them we're outside." I said to the front desk lady.

I ran outside. Frank was sitting on the sidewalk, knees up and his head leaning on them.

"Frank, it okay." I sat next to him.

"No- I'm scared. I don't want this."

"It's going to help you."

"It's going to kill me!" He yelled. "I panicked. I couldn't breathe."

One of the front doors opened and a nurse spoke, "Frank Iero? We're ready for you." Then she went back inside.

Frank made a nervous, frustrated noise and put his head back down.

"I'll be right there with you. Just focus on me."
