Suspicion

I spent the entire first 39 minutes of my very first class in college staring out the window wondering how soon I could transfer to a different subject, as the teacher droned on and I looked around to see that every other student who had to endure this suffering was feeling as much pain as I was.

The bell rang and I lept out my chair and grabbed my books and left but Jenny called me back, I hadn't even noticed she had been in my class

"Hey !! You left so early this morning I was going to walk over with you ! " she smiled, linking arms with me and 'clip-clopping' along in her heels, she still was small, and now even more avoidable as before

I unlinked arms with her and stared her in the face

"Look jenny, I told you once and I'm not going to say it again, I don't want to take sides, I don't want to be all 'pally-pally' with you, or Mads, I just want to live my life in peace, you don't know me and I have gone through a hell of a lot lately and I just need time to myself, so please sort out your problems in your life, and then we can do whatever you want, but until then, stop digging me into your hole" I snapped, and walked off around the corner to the reception desk to move out of social studies

I felt bad for snapping at jenny, I mean she seemed intended on being nice, but after 'The Cassie incident' and everything that happened with 'Francois' I should know better than to be falling into the trap of someone else's problems

I sat outside the councillors office by the trophy cases waiting to be called for a class transfer when I noticed something

'Alex Chanceford, wins the Wilton Open for the third time in a row' was written in bold letters across an old newspaper and there were trophies with tennis racquets on them filled up in this cabinet

I stared in amazement

My dad went to Wilton

Alex Chanceford was my Dad

I saw a photograph of him with another guy, both of them holding racquets and grinning

'Alex Chanceford is photographed with runner up Thomas Groban'

I looked closely to see a dated version of Ollie , and I gawped in amazement

My name was suddenly called and I went inside to the office

That afternoon I was supposed to be meeting Ollie at the tennis courts for a quick match but I texted him and told him to meet me at the trophy cabinet

I found him there staring at the picture I had been intrigued by so much earlier

"how is this possible ????" He asked in suspision

"What, did your dad never tell you he went here ?? " I asked in confusion

"My dad went to Oxford !!" Ollie whispered, not taking his eyes off the photo

"I thought my dad went to Cainbridge" I said slowly

"Wait, how come you decided to come here then if you didn't think your dad came here ?? " I asked Ollie

"Oh it's a long story but basically my parents left me and on my eighteenth birthday they left me a box with a leaflet for this university inside so here I am! " Ollie smiled

I stood there In absolute shock

"That is exactly what happened to me too" I said worryingly

I suddenly became very scared and grabbed Ollie's hand

We went back to the dorms, this was crazy, and there would be no tennis played today......
