All she wanted to do was to fall asleep in his strong arms. Every problem seemed so far away. But it was obvious that they couldn't stay like this forever, though both of them wanted to.

"I think I'll go get Gibbs up here, so we can figure things out. He must have a plan or something." Tony said after a while and she moved carefully out of his lap where she'd been laying. "I'll be right back" He kissed the top of her nose and she smiled a bit sleepily.

How could everything be so perfect even though it was so messed up? She watched him walk out; then she slowly touched her mouth where she still felt the soft touch of his lips. It made her feel like she was a fourteen year-old school-girl who had just kissed her crush for the first time. This thought made her smile. Tony and she had kissed already multiple times, yet still she felt that tickling in her stomach as if it was the first time every time she was with him. She wondered if he felt the same way. "He surely does."

"What?" Ziva sat up straight, eyes widely opened in confusion. "The guy who tried to kill you, he'll try again." Gibbs replied. He and Tony had come upstairs again. "If we see where he wants to attack next, we could catch him." DiNozzo added.

"Why are you talking about one person? In Israel they were at least eight people after me, I'm sure." Ziva reasoned. Gibbs placed a chair in front of the couch and sat down on it whilst Tony came next to her again. "We received some news in that case." He pulled a folded piece of paper out of a plastic evidence bag he had in his pocket. She took it so she could read it. "I will make you pay." "See? I. It's only one person, most likely to be male since there were no women in the car that followed us." "Will we give that to Abby?" Ziva asked, showing no direct reaction to the note. On the one hand, she was glad that there was new evidence which would help to advance with the case, but on the other hand, another death threat didn't exactly make her feel safer. "We check if everything's safe out there and then we meet her in her lab, unless you don't want to get back into the NCIS headquarters."
She thought about it for a moment; then she shook her head. "I would love to see Abby again. But please, don't include me into the work you do in the team, I am just a witness in another case."
Tony looked at her intensely after she said that, as if he wanted to make her change her words.
"You know yourself that you're not just another case, Ziva." Gibbs said out loud what he and DiNozzo were thinking in their own way.

"But you should treat me like it. Rule Number 10, remember?"
"It's a bit late to not get personally involved." Tony argued.
She stayed silent. "We could also ask Doug to look after your health condition." Gibbs changed the subject.
"It would be great to talk to Ducky." Ziva replied with a small smile. "Do you feel better already, like you could leave the house?"
She looked at her ex-boss with a hint of a grin.
"I spent most of the past three days sleeping. I guess I'm good."

Tony stroked her hair. It felt just a little awkward to show signs of affection towards her in front of Gibbs. "So when do we start?" He asked.

Gibbs put the note back into the plastic bag and stood up. "You get ready; I'll make sure that there's no one waiting to murder you behind the door. We leave in ten minutes."
