Kennedy's POV

"What did you just say?" I shouted, clasping the edges of the man's jacket and shaking him.

"Kennedy, I said Kennedy, as in you, as in get off me, kid!" He shouted back at me, but with a softer tone.

"How do you know my name? Are you working with the guards? You're helping them aren't you!" I began screaming, I was so panicked.

"Woah, what guards? What trouble have you gotten yourself into this time Kennedy? If your Father were here to see this, I swear-"

"Wait, wait, wait. My Father?! You knew my Father?" I screamed, this was far too weird for one day.

"Don't you remember me? I'm pretty sure the last time I saw you was just over eighteen months ago. It's me, your Uncle, Sterling." The man said, pushing me off of him and getting up, when my grip loosened.

What

That was my last thought before I passed out.

"Kenny, Kenny! Wake up!" Onix was shouting at me.

"What?" I said, my eyes fluttered open.

"Kennedy, you passed out, are you ok? You hit your head pretty hard." He said, making me realise that there was a throbbing in my skull.

"Ow, that hurts. Why did I pass out?" I rubbed my head with my hand.

"You don't remember?"

"Remember what?"

"Remember me." Another voice came from behind me. I turned around to see those cold green eyes, making everything flood back to me, and causing me to fall back over. I groaned.

"You, you're still here?" I asked skeptically.

"Yes, I'm sure you have questions and as do I about where you've been for the last year and a half." He said, as if he were trying to seem interested, but his eyes were void of emotion; making me shiver. Creepy.

"Well, who wouldn't have questions?" I snorted. "And my first one is, what do you mean you saw me a year and a half ago? I've never met you before in my life!"

"More like what do you mean you've never met me before? You and your parents used to visit me at least twice a month. Well, that was until you guys disappeared." He shrugged. "Where were you, by the way and where are you parents?"

"What do you mean? I've been in that flipping prison my whole life! I was lucky to escape a few months ago with Annie's help." I was getting frustrated with the constant back and forth. "Just shut up and let me tell you the whole damn story..." So I do, I recited everything from the never ending meals of slop, to the escape, to the self defence with the guys and the plan to find out what happened to my parents. I was even able to get my rant in at Onix about jumping off the cliff. He wasn't too happy about that.

My 'Uncle' just looked at me stunned, whist I spilled my guts; it was like he couldn't comprehend the story. By this time, we were all sat on the floor. Onix and Sade had set up a fire and started cooking us an early dinner

"What...What..?" He shook his head, as if he were trying to reach his brain for something to say. "You know that theory you had about the memory wipe? It has got to be true because otherwise you would remember me and that you've spent sixteen years of your life with your parents."

"Wh-what are they like? My parents that is, I want to know." I stuttered hesitantly. I didn't want to destroy the dreams I had had of the two loving people who would rock me to sleep and slow dance spontaneously in the rain.
