Victoria sat on her bed, with a few fellow girls in her year “So you actually live next door to Harry?” questioned a girl who sat on the end of Victoria's bed, that was the main topic that they were talking about.

After hearing that her and Harry knew each other before Hogwarts, a lot of the girls wanted to talk to her “Yeah.” answered Victoria with a shrug, before biting into one of the pieces of the odd sweets a girl was sharing “We have been neighbors for years” she added.

“Did you know who he was? Imagine it, living next door to the boy who lived!” said another girl enthusiastically, it confused Victoria a bit as to why everyone was so obsessed with Harry .

She knew that he was famous for escaping death, but why was that something obsess over? For the most part, he was just like everyone else, at least in her eyes “No I didn't know who he was” Victoria confessed.

The girls Victoria sat with gasped in surprise “How could you not know who he was?” asked the first girl, as if it was a stupid thing that Victoria didn't know who Harry was, despite living next door to him.

Victoria frowned slightly “Because I'm” she explained before pausing, trying to remember the word “Muggle born” she added, once the correct word had came to her, it wasn't one she thought she would have to use.

“Its a good thing you didn't end up in Slytherin then, papa says they are against muggle born students, only want the purest of blood” said one of the girls in a know it all tone of voice.

Hearing that made Victoria freeze, more students were against people who had muggle parents? A whole entire house by the sounds of it “You know, I'm very exhausted from all the travel, I should get some rest” said Victoria suddenly.

The girls looked at her skeptically, but they brushed it off before going to do something else or going to bed themselves. Victoria wasn't really that tired, she just suddenly didn't feel like talking anymore...

After several hours, Victoria was not sure how many, but she found herself still awake. She was very tired, but her mind couldn't seem to shut off, it just kept going not matter what she tried.

What the girl had said had gotten to Victoria, she felt if she didn't exactly belong here, where would she belong? She was too different for the real world, but she came from muggle parents, which from the sounds of it would make her not fitting for a lot of people here.

Home wasn't a place she could exactly go, if you could even call it a home anymore. Victoria thought a home should be a place where you felt loved, where you felt like you belonged no matter what.

Ever since she found out what she was, and that she possessed magical abilities, everything changed, the place that once was a home was nothing but just another place that she just happened to live at.

Her father disowned her for the most part, and her mother was barely even speaking to her, all over something that she couldn't even control. It she could change it, she would just to have her life back.

The thought of her family brought Victoria to tears, she missed them a lot. She missed her father's hugs, she missed how he would always welcome her home from school, she missed laughing with him.

He hated her now, he didn't speak at her, and he barely even looked at her anymore. Why did she have to be so different? Was going to Hogwarts a big mistake? Victoria wasn't sure if these questions will have an answer, or if they ever will.

Victoria had no idea if things were going to get any better, or if they would get any worse. But, she did know she just had to get through it, that should be an easy task... Right?

The following morning, Victoria arose pretty early, despite her lack of sleep during the night. She found her both excited and nervous at the same time, it was the day of her first classes at Hogwarts.

Victoria put her school robes on before going down to the common room, curious about the day ahead of her. What classes would be her favorite? And what professors would she not enjoy?

“Mornin', Victoria” greeted Harry, once he spotted her walk into the common room from the girls dormitory. He and Ron were just about to head out to breakfast before they had to go to there classes, he figured that Victoria had already left.

While pushing her buttery blonde hair out of her face, Victoria smiled at them “Morning, Harry” she said, before turning her gaze to Ron “Morning, Ron” she added in as just as a cheerful manner.

Ron, who wasn't much a morning person, looked at her as if she had two heads “How can you be so cheerful this early in the morning?” he asked, he didn't see anything cheerful about waking up early, even if it was the first day of classes.

Victoria shrugged and titled her head slightly at Ron “Aren't you excited for the first classes?” she questioned in curiosity, surely she wasn't the only one who was excited about it.

“Not particularly, are you?” replied Ron, he didn't understand it. Cheerful in the mornings and she was actually excited for classes, he was dreading the amount of homework he was sure they would get.

Instead of answering the question, Victoria just gave him an innocent smile before turning to head down to breakfast “You two want to come along?” she asked, not looking back at them.

Though he found her a bit odd, Ron agreed once Harry did. After all, it was only two things that he found odd about her, and he was willing to try and be friends as they were going to be seeing a lot of each other.

At breakfast, Victoria didn't eat all that much, she felt too sick with nervs to eat anything. So she watched in amazement as Ron ate as much as he could, she had no idea someone of his age could eat so much.

“We are lost” stated Victoria, as she wandered behind Harry and Ron through the halls, trying to find their classroom. They have been wandering around for several minutes now and they still weren't at their class.

Harry, who was ignoring all the stares and whispers, turned a random corner in hopes of finding the class “No we aren't, we are just not sure where we are or where we need to go” answered Ron.

Victoria rolled her eyes “That is the samething, Ron.” she said, looking around the halls. She had received glares and jealous looks from a few students, all because she walked with Harry, and had sat by him at breakfast.

So far, she wasn't doing that good of a job making friends, she felt like most of them didn't like her for already being friends with Harry. Victoria hoped that it would pass by soon, and that they would actually get to their class...
