A/n: I wasn't planning on uploading this yet, but writing for this seemd to be going smoothly, so I thought why not?:) I do not own any of this ( I wish  I did) all rights go to J.K Rowling,  I only claim rights for Victoria.

Prologue-

The cool summer breeze blew through the trees, giving temporary relief to Harry, who sat outside under the blazing sun while his cousin Dudley was with his friends. It was the hottest day of the year and he wasn't allowed inside, his aunt Petunia was cleaning and she didn't want him messing anything up.

Harry watched as Dudley, who appeared to be larger than ever, make way to the neighbors house. Dudley had went to speak to the neighbor's daughter, who Harry was sure that Dudley had a crush on, due to the excessive amount of times he has talked about her.

Dudley walked up to the neighbor's daughter, or as Harry more saw it as, waddled "Hello." he said with the same smile his parents told him to use when they had important people come over, he didn't see a point of having it if he couldn't use it when he wanted.

"Oh... Hello Dudley." the girl said, she wasn't fond of Dudley at all, she thought he was nothing but a spoiled rotten bully. And she tried to avoid him, but he always seemed to find a way to talk to her, which annoyed her to no end.

"Do you want to come with me and my friends? We were going to play some basketball" offered Dudley, making Harry roll his eyes as he watched them, he could only hear Dudley. But that wasn't anything new, his cousin was loud and obnoxious.

The girl bit her lip gently and looked around,  she knew it would be rude of her just to run off, so she answered "I really rather not Dudley..." she said in a soft voice "I'm sorry" she added as she avoided looking at him, her eyes were on her house, wishing her mum didn't make her go and play outside.

Dudley frowned "Come on" he whined, he wasn't used to not getting want he wanted, he always got everything he wanted. His parents always found a way to give it to him, no matter what it was, if he wanted cake for breakfast, he got cake, if he wanted a toy he saw in the store, he got it.

Harry kept watching, trying to figure out what the girl was saying, but he couldn't see her well enough to try and read her lips, but whatever she was saying,  he liked. Harry enjoyed the fact that for once, Dudley wasn't getting what he wanted.

"I said no." said the girl firmly, she felt like she was scolding a puppy. Or even a toddler, but that's how she saw Dudley most of the time, as a whiny toddler who will have a fit when he doesn't get something, or when something doesn't go away.

Dudley opened his mouth to protest, and the girl knew it, and suddenly she gasped. Dudley saw the bewilderment on her face "What?" he snapped, he was angry and frustrated that she refused to come with him, but now he was more frustrated that she obviously noticed something he didn't.

The girl put her hands over her mouth and her eyes grew wide, while Harry, who was still sitting in the lawn. Was trying to hold back a fit of laughter,  at this time, Harry was actually glad he had to be outside, he enjoyed watching this more than he should.

When nothing came from the girl, Dudley looked in the mirror of old car in the driveway, he let out a scream. His once blonde hair turned into a pure white, it had looked like it turned into snow or he had put all of his hair in flour.

"What did you do to me?!" shouted Dudley, even more enraged, his face was starting to turn to a similar color that Harry's uncle Vernon's did when he was furious. Dudley shoved the girl, who barely had any time to react, to the ground. And ran back to his house, inside to his mother.

Once Dudley slammed the door behind him, Harry got up from his sitting position in the green grass, and walked over to check on the girl "Are you alright?" asked Harry as he walked over, his clothes several sizes to big, his hair was untidy from the hair cut aunt Petunia had given him.

The girl stared up at Harry, her light blue eyes staring into his green ones, she nodded once before getting up. She looked down at her hands, several cuts on them, one even looked like it was going to start to bleed, the thought of blood made her stomach churn.

"Are you a relative of his or something? I never seen you around before." blurted out the girl, whose face turned bright red at her out burst "If its okay to ask you that." she added in a softer voice, she felt like she was being very impolite today.

Harry sighed "He is my cousin, unfortunately.." said Harry "How did you change his hair like that?" asked Harry, changing the subject, not wanting to go more in the details of his family life, or therefore lack of a family, the Dursleys didn't seem like a real family to him.

"I don't know" the girl squeaked and looked down quickly, she really didn't know how she did that, all she knew that it happened quite often "Are you going to call me a freak now?" she asked, peaking up at Harry, truly worried that he would call her a freak.

Shaking his head, making Harry's already untidy hair even more messy "No." answered Harry honestly "Why would I call you a freak?" he asked,  seeing what she did to Dudley made Harry know that they were alike, and that they were both misunderstood.

"Because everyone calls me a freak or weird whenever they see me do something like that, I don't even know what is going on or how I do those things when I do them" she said softly and looked down at her hands "So I don't blame you if you call me one" she added.

For a moment, Harry stared at her, unsure whether or not she was being serious but then spoke "I know how you feel about it, except I get in trouble when it happens to me" confessed Harry, it felt nice to have someone who knew what he was going through.

She looked up at him wide eyed "Oh, that's terrible." she said shaking her head, unsure how someone could punish a person for something they can't control "My name is Victoria by the way." she introduced at last, after realizing she didn't tell him her name.

"I'm Harry, Harry Potter" replied Harry, feeling for the first time in a while a smile stretch onto his lips. Victoria eagerly shook his hand and returned the smile with a warm one of her own, and for the first time in what Harry thought to be his life, he had a friend.
