At breakfast the next morning Victoria sat in silence, she couldn't stop thinking about what Draco had called her. She only barely listened to Ron and Harry's conversation, and she couldn't even express her surprise to see that Harry wasn't expelled.

Her thoughts were only broken when the owls flew into the great hall to deliver letters and other various things, Victoria scanned the cluster of owls for Midnight, who never actually had anything to deliver, but he always came to visit.

But her attention was immediately grabbed by six owls carrying a long, thing package. Victoria was so drawn in by the package that she nearly fell backwards when Midnight swooped down and perched himself on her shoulder.

To her surprise, the owls dropped the large package down in front of Harry, which was shortly follower by a letter. She peered over as Harry ripped the letter open, curious as to whom it was from.

“What is it?” questioned Victoria as she watched Harry, who looked like he was trying not to smile, hand the letter over to Ron “Ow!” she squeaked after Midnight nipped at her ear, resulting in people looking at them even curiously than they were before.

Midnight then flew off to go back to the Owlery, seemingly offended that Victoria didn't pay much attention to him “Come on, you should know something anyway” Harry said to Victoria, who obeyed him while filled with curiosity.

Victoria followed Harry, her heart thumped with anticipation, what could she possibly need to know? And would could possibly be in the package? She was sure the Dursleys wouldn't of sent him anything, especially not something that big.

Halfway through the Entrance hall, the little bit of a good mood and curiosity that Victoria had in her vanished the moment her eyes met Draco Malfoy and his two goons, Crabbe and Goyle who were blocking the way up the stairs.

Before anyone could even say anything, Draco snatched the package out of Harry's hands and Victoria's could've sworn she saw a slightly jealous look on his face but there was more spite “That's a broomstick.” he stated ““You’ll be in for it this time, Potter. first years aren’t allowed them.” He said.

Victoria glared at him, but said nothing, she had no idea what she would've said to him anyway “Its not any old broomstick” Ron began, almost sounding smug “Its a Nimbus Two Thousand, what did you say you’ve got at home? a Comet Two Sixty?” He went on, obviously enjoying himself “Comets look flashy, but they’re not in the same league as the Nimbus.” he added.

Shuffling her feet, Victoria forced herself not to look down, she didn't understand any of this, if they hadn't mentioned the fact that it was a broomstick, she wouldn't of even known what they were talking about.

“What would you know about it, Weasley? you couldn’t afford half the handle.” Draco snapped, making anger shoot through Victoria's body “I suppose you and your brothers have to save up twig by twig.”He said.

Victoria wanted to say something to him, she wanted to snap at him for saying that. But she couldn't seem to find her voice, just then Professor Flitwick, their charms professor, appeared by Draco's elbow “Not arguing, I hope, right?” He squeaked.

“Potter has been sent a broomstick, Professor” Draco said quickly, he seemed almost hopeful that if he immediately told a professor that they would go to Dumbledore to get Harry expelled.

But what Professor Flitwick said next surprised both Victoria and Draco, it also confused Draco “Yes, yes, that’s right.” he said, beaming up at Harry “Professor McGonagall told me all about the special circumstances,Potter. And what model is it?” he questioned.

“A Nimbus Two Thousand, sir.” answered Harry, while looking like he was trying his hardest not to laugh at the now horrified look on Draco's face “And it’s really thanks

to Malfoy here that I’ve got it.” He added.

Before they went up the stairs to head to their dormitory, so Harry could put the broom away. Draco shot Victoria a nasty look, which made his words echo through her head once again.

Victoria was silent for most of the walk, until around halfway there, when she remembered she didn't know why Harry needed the broom “Why exactly do you even need the broomstick?” She questioned suddenly “ I thought for sure you would be in major trouble after flying...” She added, biting her lip afterwards.

Harry seemed to realized he forgotten to tell her too “Oh yeah!” he exclaimed, seeming excited about something. He looked around, as if to see if anyone was around to hear him “I made the Quidditch team, you can't tell anyone though, its supposed to be a secret.” he announced.

While though she didn't really know a thing about Quidditch, Victoria couldn't help but let a smile form “That's awesome.” said Victoria, but then shifted her gaze away “Remind me to avoid Malfoy as much as possible then, something tells me once he puts two and two together, he won't be happy.” she muttered.

Harry nodded in agreement, but Ron shot her a questioning look, which made Victoria bite her lip and look down. She began to wonder if Fred and George had told him what Draco called her, part of her doubted it.

With how much Ron seemed to loathe Draco, Victoria was sure that he would've said something, have some sort of excuse to fight Draco. Though with how Professor Snape treated them, Victoria was sure it would not end well either way.

When they finally got back up to their dormitory, Victoria waited in the common room, not being allowed into the boys dorm. To her surprised, Ron waited with her, she figured that he would've jumped at the chance to go with Harry.

Victoria stared awkwardly at the floor, but she could feel Ron's gaze on her “Something is bothering you.” Ron stated in an accusing tone of voice “You don't seem as happy as you usually do.” He added

Was it that obvious? She wondered, but despite that, Victoria felt the need to deny it “Nothing is bothering me.” She lied, but didn't look up at him “Just thinking that's all.” She added quickly.

But Ron didn't believe her, she was unusually quiet and her comment about staying way from Draco only made him more sure something was wrong “ Something is, what is it.” he said, not taking no for an answer.

Victoria was quiet, she had to think whether or not she should tell him, perhaps she could be vague and he wouldn't question it “Its nothing much, just something Malfoy said to me, I asked Fred and George about it, it doesn't matter anymore.” She answered.

This only made Ron more curious and more frustrated with Draco “What did he say? How bad was it to irritate them?” he questioned, remembering how his brothers didn't seem to pleased this morning.

But after a short moment of hesitation, when Victoria just went to reply, Harry had returned “Lets get to class, so we aren't late.” she said, avoiding what Ron had asked. And was silently thanking Harry for showing up when he did, for some reason, this wasn't something she wanted to share with Harry.
