Two summers later, Victoria slid her bedroom window open, allowing the warm summer air to greet her. Her blonde hair tickled the side of her face as a breeze blew against her, she was eager to go talk to Harry today. Victoria had become close with him since she met him.

In a swift motion, Victoria spun around and ran out of her room with her long, light blue sun dress flowing behind her. Victoria's bare feet gracefully moved down the steps quickly while she held up her dress, careful not to trip over it.

Victoria ran out into the garden, the soft green grass tickled the bottom of her feet and the scent of roses, tulips and other varies flowers filled her nose. The garden was Victoria's favorite place, she loved the colors and the scents, it always made her feel at ease.

"Someone is in a good mood today" said Victoria's mother with a smile, she watched as Victoria picked a daisy  and stuck it in her hair "Please don't pick the flowers quite just yet, dear." her mother said with her smile dimming down a bit.

With a quick embarrassed bite of the lip Victoria nodded "Sorry, Mother." apologized Victoria  "Today is just a wonderful day, do you not agree?" she asked spinning around in a circle, making her sundress flow around her before falling back into the grass.

Victoria couldn't explain why she felt so happy today, so lively and free, she just felt that way. She normally disliked most summer days, they were usually very hot, but today was perfect, not to hot but not cool either, and she just woke up in a good mood anyhow.

A woman with blonde hair and pale eyes peered her head over the hedge that separated the yard, this made Victoria's mother stand up from her kneeling position and made Victoria sit up. The woman was Petunia Dursley, who Victoria knew as Harry's cruel aunt, and her spying neighbor.

"Hello" greeted Petunia harshly, her eyes flickered to Victoria and a quick nasty look flickered across her face but vanished as quick as it came "My Dudleykins wants to invite you to birthday, to the zoo." she said in a bitter voice.

It was no secret that Petunia Dursley was jealous of them, of their family, who seemed normal. But in reality, they were just as different, Victoria was just as unusual and strange as Harry, but even nosy Petunia Dursley didn't know that.

"I can't, I have chores and I must finish a book before summer is over." lied Victoria, she wanted nothing to do with Dudley or the Dursleys, and she really didn't want to be stuck with them for who knows how long at a zoo she has been to plenty of times.

Victoria's mother looked at her "Victoria..." began her mother, but Victoria shot her a pleading look, making her mother raise a dark brown eyebrow at her. Once Victoria's mother looked back at Petunia she forced an apologetic smile "Victoria has to help me around the garden, thank you for the offer though" she said as sweetly as she could.

With one more nasty look, Petunia disappeared behind the hedge, leaving Victoria and her mother alone once again. Both a little surprised at what had just happened, and left Victoria a little irritated.

Victoria looked at her mother with a grateful smile “Thank you so much, mummy” she said and ran her hand over the tips of the dark green blades of grass “I truly didn’t want to go to his birthday party.” She admitted honestly.

Victoria’s mother dusted her hands on her faded light blue jeans “Victoria, while you are out here, we need to have a little talk.” Said her mother in a calm voice even, then it made Victoria’s stomach sink into her feet.

Tucking a long strand of buttery blonde hair behind her ear “What is wrong?” asked Victoria nervously, she rarely ever got in-trouble and whenever she did get in-trouble and her mother found out, she used almost those exact words. But the thing is, Victoria didn’t know what she did wrong.

A soft smile spread across her mother’s face “Sweetheart, your father and I have both noticed that you have been spending an awfully lot of time with that Harry kid.” She began, a bright blush grew across Victoria’s cheeks once she realized what her mother was getting at “Do you like him?” she asked.

“Yes, of course” said Victoria before realizing what she said “Well, no” she squeaked, her face turning a brighter red “He is just a friend, mummy. He is the only friend I’ve got and I’m the only one he’s got…” she explained.

A soft laugh escaped Victoria’s mother’s lips “Your face is bright red, sweetie” said Victoria’s mother, part of her really hoped that Victoria really didn’t have those types of feelings for the neighbor boy “Tell me if you ever do like a boy” she said with a small smile and a wink.

“Mum!” Victoria complained, blushing even brighter. Victoria really didn’t see Harry that way, she truly did see just as just a friend.  She didn’t get why her parents thought that she saw Harry as anything else but that.

“Don’t worry about it, why don’t you go upstairs and relax” laughed Victoria’s mother, before kissing the top of Victoria’s head lovingly “Or go get a book and read” she suggested with a warm smile.

After several hours, Victoria looked up from the book that she had laying on the grass. She decided to go out and read, she didn’t want to miss out on the wonderful weather. But she also wanted something to do, so she thought what better thing to do than read outside.

Victoria got up from laying on her stomach once she heard a car door shut, she walked over to a odd shaped rock by the hedge and carefully got up onto it, making it wobble under her weight and looked over the hedge.

Barely visible of the hedge, Victoria saw Harry looking almost frightened, his uncle Vernon looking very angry, she watched while they all disappeared into the house, around five minutes later, a boy that Victoria knew to be very close with Dudley walked out.

Suddenly something Harry told her echoed through her head “I get in-trouble when it happens to me" had he somehow did something while they were gone? Was he in-trouble for that? These questions buzzed in Victoria’s head.

Victoria became worried about Harry, she knew how they treated Harry, and she knew that they made him miserable; she knew it had always been that way for him. Victoria even knew that they were relentless when it came to their ‘problem’ acting up.

But what she didn’t know is what happened while they were gone, what had happened that caused Harry to get in-trouble besides the fact that something unusual happen, and she didn’t know how long Harry would be punished.

Victoria jumped off the rock she was standing on, nearly falling back in the process; she now knew that the summer was only going to get much longer. Now that Harry was getting punished, and Victoria had no one to talk to.

She had no one to talk to about the strange things that happen to her, at least not someone who would understand like Harry did, and Harry had no one besides Victoria to talk to about it, he actually had no one about it at all. It was going to be a long summer indeed.
