The next morning I awoke in bed. I was tangled in the sheets and pillows were strewn everywhere. I turned over, smiling to myself. Annabeeth wasn't in the bed so I got up and pulled on a pair of jeans that I found in an unpacked box. Then I went downstairs to the kitchen.
I snuck in quietly and grabbed Annabeth by the waist. She wasn't even surprised tnhough because she had lots of training.
Annabeth was making eggs and toast. She loaded our plates and carried them to the bar. WE sat on the stools and ate.
"Today we have to finish unpacking. THen we need to go shopping. I want some new rugs and dishes and stuff like that, and we have like no food." Annabeth said.
"OK. We can go after breakfast." I said. Annabeth nodded and we finished our breakfasat.
Went up to the master bedroom and got dressed. Annabeth pulled on jean shorts and an orange camp T-shirt. She pulled her hair into a side braid and then went to brush her teeth. I pulled on a camp tee too and also went to brush my teeth.
We went downstairs and into the living room. Annabeth grabbed her phone and I grabbed mine.
Oh, I should probally tell you, these aren't normal phones. They were a new design that Leo Valdez had created to keep demigods safe. They were untraceable to monsters and didn't need internet connection for anything. The bills were also a lot smaller.
Town was definetly walkable from our house. Camp Jupiter had increased in size since we were gone but it didn't matter for us, we had bought a house close to town.
"While we are up here, I'm going to put in an apllication in some places. I heard the school's low on teachers." Annabeth said. I had been thinking the same thing, just not the whole school thing, that was not my cup of tea.
"I think I am going to put mine in the Navy." I said. The Romans never really had a real Navy. When we were fighting the War against Gea though we had a small-ish battle against the Romans. We had a navy and the Romans found it useful to have one.
"OK. Let's go to the furniture store first. I want to find some new things to fill our empty house." Annabeth turned into a store named Stann's Furniture and More.
"Hello, can I help-" A helper guy asked as soon as we walked in. He gasped when he looked at us closer. "You're Percy Jackson and Annabeth Chase!"
"Um, yeah. That'd be us. Do we know you?" I asked a little uncertainly. I had never seen this guy before.
"No. I'm a new demigod. But I've heard all about the eight heroes of Olympus! Ther's you guys, Hazel Levesque, Frank Zhang, Piper Mclean, Jason Grace, Leo Valdez, and Nico di Angleo. This is soooo cool." THe boy eagerly shook our hands.
"What's your name?" Annabeth asked the boy.
"I'm Dustin. I came here after being attacked by Harpies. I'm a son of  Demeter," Dustin explained, finally settling down.
"Well Dustin, you know that Hazel and Frank are living here. Leo travels between the two camps helping fix everything. Jason and Piper are moving in today and Nico and his wife, Phoebe, also live here. You can visit them all." Annabeth said.
"Thank-" Dustin was interupted by a man's voice.
"Dustin, stop distracting customers. Oh, hey Percy and Annabeth. When did you guys get here?" From behind one of the shelves came Will, and old friend form Camp Half-Blood. Will was a son of Apollo.
"Hey buddy. How're you?" I man hugged Will and he hugged back. Annnabeth jumped into his arms and he caught her, a little surprised.
"I missed you so much after the war. You were so busy." Annabeth said. Will laughed.
"Yeah. It seemed like everybody was injured. But I made it. Also, I had Nico making sure I ate enough and all that stuff." Will said.
Nico and Will used to be dating. Then they both broke up to be just friends though. They both grew out of their gay stage and Nico ended up married.
"Yeah. We were pretty busy too. Percy and Jason were rebuliding and adding to the camps and I was still reconstructing Olympus." Annabeth said.
"Yeah. I heard. It was so cool how Percy gave up Zeus's offer. I mean I think I would have accepted being a god. But Percy gave the offer to Reyna who got married to Apollo and they had twins. That, to me, is amazing." Will said and I swear I blushed a little.
"Thanks man. Well, we should probably get going. We have a lot of shopping to get done." I said, taking Annabeth's hand and pulling her away with one last good bye to Will.
"OK. Let's look for some new kitchen chairs and a table." Annnabeth said, pulling me into the kitchen section. We split up to look for them.
Our kitchen was themed white so that was what I was looking for.
I found a nice white table with redwood and white chairs and called Annabeth over.
"Perfect." She said, kissing me happily. I agreed and went to get someone who worked here for help.
"Hello sir? Can you help me?" i asked a man at the front desk.
"Sure. I'll just follow you." He said and I led him to the table.
"Can you put this table on hold for us?" Annabeth asked the man politley.
"Yeah. Just wait here, I'll go get the paper." The man walked away and we continued looking for stuff around the store.
When we left the table was on hold, as long as a bunch of other things. We had three small coffee tables, a sofa with two chairs, three more chairs, four nightstands, ten lamps, some stools, and two dressers.
Next we went into a fabric shop for curtains. We needed some for the kitchen, bathrooms, bedrooms, and living room.
"How about these blue ones, they would match either of the bathrooms?" i asked Annabeth, who was looking at red ones for the kitchen. She nodded and threw both things into the cart. Wf got another set of the same blue curtains for the other bathroom. We found long, drapey red curtains for the living room.
After we had all the curtains we decided to stop by and grab coffee.
"All we need now is food and towels and that stuff." Annabeth said, "Why don't you get towels and I have the food."
"OK. We'ss meet at Frank's for lunch." I said. No, not Frank our friends, Frank's was a food restaraunt.
"OK. see you there." Annabeth grabbed her coffee and left, after grabbing some money, of course.
I got up and went into a store that sold towels. I bought blue ones for both bathrooms and some dishcloths for the kitchen. I grabbed some body towels, sone drying towels, and some mop towels. Then I left.
I knew Annabeth wouldn't be done shoppng for at least two more hours so I decided to sit in the sunny park for a bit.
I found an open bench and set my bags next to me. I had at least a hundred bags. I sat down and tilted my head back, soaking in the sun. Kids were running around the park and screaming and laughing.
"Nice day out, right?" I heard a female voice beside me. I nearly jumped out of my skin in shock. I reached for riptide but a hand laid on mine, stopping me. I looked beside me and saw Reyna.
Even though Reyna was now a goddess and married she decided to stay and run the camp. She was wearing her normal long, purple dress that fragged behind her and her black hair was pulled to the side in a braid. Her brown eyes were filled with amusement.
I had no idea Reyna was there to tell me anything important.
