It was dark and there was a slight breeze. I was on the roof of the Empire State Building.
I cautiosly made my way across the roof. I could hear a faint scruffling from across the roof. I couldn't see what it was though because it was too dark.
I moved slowly and precariously over to the scruffling. I gasped at what I saw.
Leo was tied and gagged on a chair behind a low brick wall on the next building roof. From what little of him I could see, I was disgusted. He had a huge welt on his black eye and a deep gash on his forehead. His other eye was swelled and bloody. His hair was matted with dried blood and he had cuts and bruises all over his dirty body.
"Leo." I was able to call faintly. He surprised me by looking up. I had never been able to talk to anybody in my dreams before, unless it was Grover, but we had a special bond.
"Percy, you can't come, it's a trap. Gorgon will kill you and Frank and Hazel." Leo whispered.
     "I know. But who's Gorgon?" I asked.
"He's the monster leader. He's a mix of the Minotaur and human. He's really dangerous. Please don't come. Tell Calypso I love her. I will try to get out but I don't know if I'm strong enough." Leo eyes teared up at Calypso's name. I felt bad because I knew what it was like to be apart from smeone you loved dearly. That's why Leo and  Calypso would see eachother again.
"Bye Leo. See you tonight, hopefully." I ignored his cries of protest and walked away.
"Percy, wake up. It's time for you to go." Frank woke me up, looking anxious.
"Guys, we're facing the Gorgon. It's a mix og a Minotaur and a human. Leo's trapped on the building nxt to the Eiffel Tower." I blurted it all out really fast as I drained a diet coke and got ready to go fight some monsters.
"OK. We'll help all we can." Frank said and Calypso nodded in agreement. I shook my head.
"No. You guys need to stay in here and IM Reyna and the others. It's important they know." I said, getting out and locking them in the vehicle. I ignored their cries of protest too and made my way across the street towards the Eiffel Tower.
THe real reason I wanted them to stay behind is because I didn't want them to get hurt. Gorgon sounded dangerous and I was the one he asked for. And plus, if I didn't make it out of this, I wanted Annabeth and the baby to know I died a hero.
With these thought in my head I opened the door to go inside the Eiffel Tower and snuck to the nearest elevator. I pushed the ROOF button.
It as weird. I was prepping myslef for a battle and listening to waiting music at the same time.
When I reached the roof I gasped at what I saw.
THe roof was no longer empty. It was lined with monsters of every sort. I had already fought many of these.
None of the monsters made a move towards me though, which made me think they had special orders not to. THat didn't stop them from glaring though.
As I walked through the hords they glared and hissed. I ignored them and kept walking towards the spot I saw leo. I was nervous but refused to show it.
"Percy Jackson. You know, I wasn't surprised to hear that you defeated Gea. You are the Great Percy Jackson." I heard a drawling voice say. It was dark and casual at the same time.
The voice belonged to a twelve foot human being with the head of a bull and hooves as feet. He had horns growing out of his hair and his eyes were glittering black. he was holdong a Trident, which I found a little creepy, considering who my dad was.
"Well, I am pretty Great. Thanks for saying so." I said sarcastically. Maybe that was not the best way to go about this but I didn't care. This guy was mocking my dad and holding one of my best friends captive. He had to go.
"Aww. You don't like me?" He asked, smiring his bull face.
"How could I possibly like someone who kidnaps my best friend and threatens to kill all of my friends?" I asked. I peered behind him and caught a glimpse of Leo. He was in the same spot as I last saw him. He had a few more bruises, or it could have been that now I was seeing him in the light. Either way he was looking like crap.
"Well, there goes my offer on friendship. I could have just killed all your friends and we could rule the world together." He faked a sigh.
"Oh yes. I'm just going to let you murder all my friends and rule the world with a monster. Good luck with that." I said, spitting with sarcasm. I laughed and charged.
I yaned Riptide out and clicked the pen. It fledged into a full sized, golden sword. The other monsters surged foward and I knew I was going to die. I would never get to see Annabeth again, or our baby.
This thought almost made me stop. Almost. I didn't stop though because I knew that she would be disapointed. I had to finish what I started once and for all.
I was killing things here and there. I was in a trance-like state. All I could think about was getting to Annabeth.  I couldn't let anything hurt our family.
I killed anything that got in my way. By the time every monster besides the Gorgon was dead I wasn't even tired. Gorgon just stayed back and let his minions fight.
This disgusted me. It made me want to kill him even more. And I would, I promised myself.
I continued charging at the monster in front of me. He lazily met me in the middle and raised his Trident.
"I am not happy that you killed all my minions. I had to work hard to get them. Now, you will pay." He said.
"Such big words for a monster." I said. I raised Riptide and slashed his shin. He cried out in pain and I did it again. I slashed him over and over again. I slashed him anywhere I could reach.
I stabbed him in the toe and cut one off. He cried out and tried to hit me with his Trident. I dodged it easily and slashed his thigh.
The next time her tried to hit me I grabbed onto the Trident and swung myslef up onto his back. I cut his arms and face.
I could feel him getting angrier and weaker at the same time. I had barely broken a sweat in my trance.
'Jackson, you will pay for this." he roared and with one last swipe at me I cut his neck with all my might. His head fell to the ground and disintegrated into brown ashes.
My trance wore off and I ran to Leo, out of breath.
I quickly slashed his bindings and pulled out the damp, slobber filled gag. I threw it on Gorgon's ashes in digust.
I threw Leo over my shoulder and put Riptide into my pocket.
I had to somehow get Leo and me safely over to the other roof because this roof had no way to get off. That's when I saw the water tank on the opposite roof.
I used the rest of my energy and made the water spread out Gorgon's ashes. Then I climbed on and rode down, landing right in front of Frank and Calypso who were desperatley trying to get out of the locked vehicle.
I unlocked the car and they tumbled out, Calypso was sobing as she looked at Leo. She got up and sprinted to us.
"Oh thank god." She helped me set him down on the car seat and started tending to his wounds.
"Man, never lock me in a stuffy car with a grieving girl again. Actually, never lock me in a car again." Frank stormed over.
"Gotcha. I need to sit down and I will listen to your complaining later. Can you drive us home?" I asked him and he nodded.
