Chapter 13- Battle in the mirror room

Knuckles, Tails, Sally and Blaze were just walking in the forest as they walked away from the strange temple after not getting anywhere with the information they were searching for. Over their walk, Sally Acorn was thinking about heading off for her homeland to give her other friends the information that was kept hidden in the temple, and Blaze will have to leave early enough to get over to her kingdom for a upcoming date with Silver.

"What will you guys do?" Tails asked Blaze what the date will be like.

"I am not sure of what he is planning," Blaze answered honestly. "I also asked him the same thing and he shushed me because he doesn't want to ruin the surprise he has in stored for me." Tails and Knuckles rolled their eyes in a happy gesture, they knew that Silver, whenever he comes to visit them, likes to keep things that way to impress the girl he likes.

"Tails! Knuckles!" Cream's voice shouted on top of her lungs as she appeared to them in a flash as she skidded to a stop just before slamming into Tails as he kept his balance from the impact, refusing to fall backward.

"Chill out for a second will ya, Cream." Knuckles calmly spoke as he helped Tails get Cream to stand up straight. "You look like you have grown pale, what happened?"

Cream stuttered, almost out of breath as her eyes darted around the area as if thinking that something was watching her and her friends. The bunny looked like she was so scared out of her mind. Tails and Knuckles could not understand the gibberish she was talking about, only catching hints of "Trouble", and "Amy... in danger."

Tails did his best to calm down the girl by rubbing on her back just to ease her on her fears. "What are you trying to say, Cream?" He asked her in a calm gesture. Cream's hands shook as if she was cold and grabbed onto Tails hands and squeezed them tightly.

"I th-think it i-is be-better if you s-see for you-yourself." Cream shivered as she stuttered in fright. She pointed towards the other end of the forest where she last was. Tails, Knuckles, Sally, and Blaze walked over to the bush where it overlooked a cliff, showing the strange temple in the distance.

Looking both ways, Tails almost thought that Cream was just seeing things until a certain blue hedgehog got his attention. It looked like it was Sonic who was walking toward the strange building, they could only see his back as he continued to walk, but the one thing that they noticed was that Amy was being carried bridal style in his arms. She looked as if she was asleep, no sign of fear written on her face.

Tails was just about to go over to Sonic to see if he needed any help with getting Amy to safety, still not sure if what Cream was saying was true. However, Blaze stopped him before he could get anywhere, "Tails! Don't you know what you are trying to get yourself into?!"

"I think Sonic needs our help." Tails reasoned, trying to get out of her tight grip on his arms. "Amy must be hurt from a injury or something." Instead of trying to protest against him, Blaze groaned as she placed her hand on his head and forced him to look closely at what he was seeing. Once when the figure of Sonic turned his head to look around the place, Tails' eyes widened in shock and horror.

This person he was seeing was not Sonic at all. He could tell because of the black and red eyes, and something within his mind was trying to tell him to look away and cower in fear, but the fox would not let it do the job. He turned his gaze to Cream, fully understanding what was happening. "Is this what you were trying to tell us, Cream?"

Ignoring Tails' question to the scared bunny, Knuckles noticed the difference as well and he was pounding his fists together before he began to trek over to where the impostor Sonic was. Sally called out to him in worry. "Where do you think your going, Knuckles?!"
