Chapter 3: Dates and Auditions

Ann's P.O.V

           "I will see you later." Josh says as he exits off the plane. Did that really just happen? My heart is racing a mile a minute. I start thinking about Josh and how down to Earth he is. I soon realize that I am still on the plane. A women with blonde curly hair walks over in a uniform and starts tapping me. "I'm sorry but may I ask you to exit the plane. We need it to get back to Boston." The women says very sweetly. "Oh, yeah. Sorry. I just was thinking about.... Nevermind I'll get off." I whisper to her. I'm glad I had decided to not tell her what I was thinking about. How embarassing that would've been! My suitcase is overhead so I stretch my arms to the top and pull it down basically dropping it on myself. The women moves to the side and I step into the long quiet hallway. "This is the beginning of the rest of my life" I though to myself.

Josh's P.O.V

             Who was that girl? She was so unique and genuine. She didn't treat me like a superstar, she treated me like a regular person. I wonder if I'm ever going to see her again. Hopefully I will.

Ann's P.O.V

            "But I love you Ky not Xander." I say during my audition. After 3 hours of waiting I am finally at my audition for a big time movie. I keep my eye on the casting directors. They look pleased that's a good thing right? The moment they say I can go I shoot out of the room and run to the door. I have so many nerves and emotions that I just wanted to get to my hotel and call my mom. My hand reaches out for the door handle when the door opens and a smilling face appears. "Ann?" The figure says. I can't see who it is because the bright sunlight is blinding me. When my eyes finally adjust I can see who it is. It's Josh. "Hi. How are you?" I ask him shakily. "Good. Good. I just can't believe we ran into each other. Are you here for auditions?' Josh asks. "Yeah. Just finished them. I'm feeling pretty good. You here for auditions?" I ask him. "Yeah. Sooo... where you headed off to?" He says. "Oh just my hotel for some sleep." I say back nervously. "Cool. I was just wondering if maybe we could get some lunch this week. Maybe tomorrow?" Josh questions. He seems very shy about this. Why is he shy! Every girl dreams of going out with him. 

            I tell him yes and walk out the door to my rental car. Did Josh Hutcherson really ask me out? Out of everyone on Earth. He chooses me! My car glides down the street towards the hotel. I park my car and walk inside to the lobby. I take the elevator up to my room and fall asleep fast.

             The next morning I get up and realize that I have slept till 12:00. Thankfully I don't have school anymore so I can sleep in how ever much I want. I turn over on my side and pick up my phone off my nightstand. Two new messages from Josh.  The first one says, "Hey so is it okay for me to pick you up at 1:00 for lunch?" The next one says "Can't wait to see you again." I smile at the text. I text back that its ok for him to pick me up at one then realize I have an hour to get ready before he comes.  Jumping out of my bed I fly to the small bathroom to shower. After fifteen minutes of showering I decide I'm clean enough so I get out. With a towel in my hair and a robe on I find the perfect outfit to wear. Its a pink flowery dress to wear and some brown wedges. With my blonde wavy hair in a side ponytail and my sunglasses and phone in hand I walk to the lobby to wait for him. As I wait I look through my phone I start reading The Hunger Games on it. When I'm really getting into the book I hear a voice behind me say "How many times have you read it?" I quickly turn around and see Josh in khaki pants and a old fashioned Rolling Stones T-shirt. "10 times but who's counting?" I say with a grin. I stand up and we walk out the hotel doors. "So where are we going for lunch?" I ask. "You'll see. " Josh says back walking towards the car. And off I  went to my first date with Joshua Ryan Hutcherson.
