Chapter 7: Premieres and Acting

After breakfast I told Josh I was going home to take a shower and I would meet up with him later. He told me to dress in a fancy dress and to meet him at 3:00 in the lobby. So I did just that. I had on a pale pink, short sparkling dress with pink heels to match.

I look down at my watch. It's 3:15. Where is he? I look out the lobby windows and I see traffic everywhere. Then I see a familiar black Escalade pull up front and Josh steps out from the back in a tuxedo.

"Now I'm really wondering where you are taking me." I say to him. Josh walks over and escorts me to the car. We start driving down the road when I see huge groups of people and a huge Mockingjay in the middle of them and a red carpet. That's when it all clicks into place.

"Are we at the Mockingjay Part 2 premiere?" I ask him. I had completely forgotten about the movie and when it was coming out. "Yes. Indeed we are." Josh says stepping out. Everyone goes crazy and screams. I almost scream too. The car moves away leaving us right in front of the red carpet. Josh walks over and puts his arm out. I latch on to it and we start walking.

Being the gentlemen that he is he interacts with all the fans he sees. I just quietly stand in the back. Josh and I move towards the backdrop full of ads and photographers start taking lots of pictures. "I think I need sunglasses for this." I joke to Josh. He laughs and I do too. Then he turns to me and kisses me on the cheek. " What was that for?" I ask. "Just wanted to let the world know that I like you and not anyone else." He says shyly. I n that moment I knew I was falling for him but I knew that I shouldn't fall to fast because I could get broken.

After the press everyone took there seats in the theater. The lights dim and a Lionsgate opening pops up on the screen. The epic finale to the Hunger Games Trilogy is finally happening. I feel my whole body shaking. Josh grabs my hand and Jennifer Lawrence notices it. Then she looks away laughing. Oh no." What's going to happen next?" I thought to myself.

When the movie finished a roar of clapping echoed throughout the theater. The cast looks embarrassed and overwhelmed. My eyes glance to Josh and I smile. He smiles back.

Everyone walks outside and the main cast is left alone in the end. All the fans ,directors and extras are gone.

"So, are you two a thing now?" I hear a voice say behind me. I turn around and see Jennifer looking at me laughing. I look at Josh and he blushes. "I don't know. We have only been on two dates not including this one." I mumble back. "Oooooookkkkkk." Jennifer says sounding suspicious. Are we a couple? I'm leaving the day after tomorrow.. We wouldn't have enough time. My life just got more complicated.

The premiere ending at 6:00. So now I had to go to my second audition. Josh's car took me home and I changed from the dress to jeans and a floral t-shirt. I took the elevator downstairs and went outside. I walk over to my rental car and I drive to the Movie producers office.

"We are going to do the same scene from last time but we have someone different for you to read with." The cast director says. Oh no. Who could this be? It must be a chemistry reading. My eyes look down and look back up when the door opens. Josh was here. He's the one I was going to read with. "Josh?" I ask. "Yep. I am here to do a scene with you. " He says back while pulling me into a hug. Then, we both start the scene.

Towards the end of the scene I realize that I would have to kiss Josh . I knew I had to do it. When the time came, he put his warn hand on my face and pulled me in. I first feel kind if awkward, then I kiss back. We both pull away and smile. The casting director says we're done so I thank them and go outside to my car.josh follows. "Wow. That was so fun acting together. You were amazing. We were amazing together." He says enthusiastically. "Yeah that was so good. What about the kiss? That was pretty awkward." I say. "Yeah. It didn't really feel like it was our first kiss. I feel like we still haven't had one." He says. " I know what you mean. I don't want our kiss to be like that. I want it spontaneous and for it to happen when we feel ready." I explain. "Yeah. I guess that's the same way I want it to happen. Soooo... I'm going to the beach tomorrow with my friends Avan and Jen ( who you already meet)and I was just wondering if you might want to go?" Josh asks. He looks hopeful and like he really wants me to come."Ok. Sure. Just one condition. The condition is that you have to keep Jen from embarrassing us."I yell. "I'll try but she doesn't stop for anyone." He yells back. We both laugh and say goodbye. I have to get ready for the beach now!
