Chapter 16: Ben and Josh

The next morning I woke up in wet clothes laying with Josh in his backyard. We both got so tired last night and decided we should just sleep under the stars for a night.

Josh was still asleep so I stayed quite still laying with his arms wrapped around me. Suddenly I heard my name from him.

"Yeah Josh?" I ask.

"I love you." He mumbles while I turn and look at him. Our faces are only like a know inch apart.

"I love you more." I whisper softly grabbing his cheek. He grabs mine. We both pull one another in and kiss that lasts a long time. I pull away and smile. Josh smiles back.

"Come on. We've got to go to set soon so better get ready." I say while I stand up. All the muscles feel sore from sleeping. Josh stands up also and we walk into the house hand in hand.

In a matter if minutes, we are dressed and on set. The hair dresser is yelling at me for having so many knots in my hair. I have to tell her that it's from a midnight swim Josh and I took. She gets really excited and goes on and on about her boyfriend. I really do like my hairdresser. Her name is so beautiful. It's Juliet. Just like from Romeo and Juliet. She is young like me and this is her first big job deal doing hair for a movie.

I carefully walk towards set and quietly stand and watch the scene going on. A hand soon grabs my shoulder. I turn around expecting Josh is there.

"Hello Josh." I say flirty when I turn around.

"Well, hello back to you." The boy says. Aggghhh. Ben I think to myself. He has been all over me since I say him again.

"Oh. Hi Ben." I mumble. "What do you want?"

"Oh. I don't know. How about.. you?" Ben asks me. I roll my eyes. I can't believe he's really hitting me.

"Really? I would love to go out with you!." I say in a sarcastic tone laughing. He just smirks and rolls his eyes. Just then I see Josh looking at me laughing with Ben. The look on his face was very serious so I decided to go see what was up with him.

"Sorry but I have go. See you later!" I say with a smile quickly right before I start walking away. As soon as I start walking Ben's hand grabs my shoulder and pulls me back towards him.

"What are you doing Ben?" I say with a nervous smile.

"Something I've wanted to do for a long time." He says right before he pulls me in a kisses me passionately. I didn't know what to do so after thinking it through I shoved him off. I quickly looked around only to see Josh with hurt in his eyes as he runs out of set.I yell his name and then start running after him. I finally stop him right before he gets into his car.

"Josh wait please!" I yell out if breathe.

"What? What do you want?" Josh screams at the top of his lungs. " I get it you want to be with your ex. Don't worry about me it's fine." He gets in his car and slams the door. His engine roars up and he drives away in a flash.

After he leaves, I go back in crying to Juliet. I tell her the whole story while she drives me to Josh's to pack. I'm going to live with her now I guess.

Eventually we get to his house. I walk in quietly just invade Josh is here. Sneakily I run upstairs and pack my stuff. As I run back downstairs I hear crying in Josh's room. Slowly I move my feet to the cracked door. Grabbing the door's handle gently I open the door. I see Josh sitting on his bed with his head in his hands. When I walk in he pulls his head out if his hands.

"Just came to grab my stuff." I say while walking toward him. "I'm sorry. Just remember that I will always love you." I gently kiss him on the cheek slowly and before I burst into tears I run out of the room. He's left there with a blank expression in his face.

The only thing I can do now is forget about Josh. Just let him go. I know that if it's meant to be Josh and I will be together.

That night I dream about Josh and I. We're at the Matched movie premiere. Everything's perfect. When I wake up in morning Juliet says she could hear me in the sleep yelling I need you Josh over and over again. I miss him so much.

Today I even have to go to set and face him. I don't want to but you have to so I get in the car and we drive to set together. So far no one is here yet. Juliet and I go to my dressing room and get me ready for the scenes we're doing today. All the romance scenes with Josh. Obviously this is the day we have to do them. Right after our breakup.

Josh eventually shows up on set a thing the same. I stay in my dressing room to avoid all contact with him. After about an hour I hear my name being called from outside so I go out prepared to act.

We do a couple of scenes and most have kisses. Josh is such a great actor. He's pretending he doesn't hate me. But me? I'm not acting. Every kiss I give him is real.

After we finally finish for the day I go back with Juliet to my dressing room. She says that she will be ready in fifteen minutes and told me to wait outside for her. I go outside and stand with my back against wall. Josh walks out right after I look at my watch for the third time.

"Hey." He says to me.

"Hi." I mumble surprised. I thought he hated me.

"Sooo... I don't know if you want to but even though we're not together, I still want you to stay at my house." Josh states. I can barely breathe.

"Um. Yeah sure I'll stay with you. I have to just tell Juliet." I stutter to him. He just nods and walks to his car.

Before Juliet even gets one foot out the door I spill the while thing that went down.

"So what are we waiting for? We've got to get you over to your house!" She yells back smiling. I giggle and we run to her car. It takes me twenty minutes in all to get over to Josh's house.

"Hello?" I scream when I walk through the open door. Josh's smiling face comes down the stairs.

"Thank god your here. I hate being all alone here. Listen Ann. I just want us to be friends. I think we just need to have time to have single fun together." Josh laughs. I smile and we hug each other.

"I missed you." I whisper. I hear his voice softly say something back. it sound like me too. I felt like saying i love you to him but I knew he could never say it back.
