"Hello, Pumpkin! What are you doing here?" Auntie smiled when I walked into the dinning room. Her and Rufus were in the middle of dinner. "Come have a seat. Would you like some roast?"

"Um, no Auntie. I've already eaten..." I slid down into the seat across from her and next to Rufus. He eyed me curiously. Being friends as long as we have been, he could tell I had something very important to say.

"Oh. What did you have?"

"Lasagna. Ashley, um, made it..." I coughed. How was I going to approach this? She frowned.

"Hm."

"Ashley seems to be a great chef." Rufus stated, scooting his plate away as he finished.

"Oh, he is. He cooks for me all the time, and he's going to be for a long, long time..." I tapped my hand on the table. Rufus looked down and saw the ring. The result was him almost choking. Auntie didn't seem to notice.

"I wish you would just give up on this silly Muggle thing. Just think: you're taunting your nice, pure blood. And..." As she continued, I just kind of tuned her out. Rufus did the same, trying his best to be unnoticed at he mouthed words at me.

"Is that an engagment ring?" He mouthed, looking down again. I slowly nodded, and continued silently forming the words.

"I have to tell her..."

"Do you want to die?"

"Rufus, I have to tell her. I can't just get married without her knowing."

"You're going to get him killed!"

"How has your day been?" Auntie brought us back to her attention.

"Oh, nice. Actually, you'll never believe who visited me today."

"Who, dear?"

"Gregory." I smiled.

"Goyle?" Rufus sneared. Even eleven years later he still had a grudge against my old ex-boyfriend.

"Oh, Gregory!" Auntie gushed. "He was such a nice boy! A nice, pure blood boy! I wish you would get back with him. How is he?"

"Good. He's good. But do you remember, along time  ago, when Gregory and I got together?"

"Vaugely."

"Well, you didn't like Gregory, mostly because you didn't know him the way you should have before you made a judgement."

"Where are you going with this?"

"Well, eventually you did accept Gregory and learned to like him. I think you could do the same thing with Ashley."

"I'm not being friends with a Muggle."

"Yes, well..." This was getting extremely difficult. I was hopeing I could get her worked down before telling, but she seemed to be acting as stuborn as always. "Um, I think Ashley will be a little closer than your friend from now on..."

"What do you mean, Sweet Heart?" I could tell that she was trying to keep herself together. She knew if she wasn't careful she could be sent back to St. Mungo's. I took a big breath.

"Last week Ashley met me at the Brew like always and when he was there he acted like he was going to propose to me, but then he didn't." I stopped to take another breath, "So then he left andI was all like 'Huh, I wonder what that was about' ,and then a man came in with a ring and said that Ashley accidently left it in a cab that he took to the Brew." Again, another breath. "So I got home and waited for him to come home. When he didn't, I decided that instead of confronting him about the ring I was just going to go ahead and ask him myself. So, when he got home I had candles and roses, and,well.... I proposed to Ashley!"
