Chapter 6 (edit)

Josh POV

We got to the pool and saw a lot of other people were here too and almost instantly Marcus detached from me and headed towards a chair to put his towel on. 'damn' I thought watching him walk away

"damn is right" I heard a familiar voice say "w-wait I didn't say that" I mumbled 'did I say that out loud?'

"yeah you did" lane said and I jumped embarrassed I went to the chair she saved for me and put my things down "so.. Whereas Luke" I asked face cooling down "oh Luke had to work the gender equality club and lucky for you I'm a life guard until 5" she smiled and her tongue slipped out slightly through her white teeth. It's a wonder how and the heck she doesn't have a boyfriend, she's a real sight.

I stood up and motioned towards the pool and she just shook her head "sadly lifeguards aren't allowed in unless someone's drowning because it takes the focus off of drowning people "she rolls her eyes and sits up I nodded my head and headed towards the diving board

The crystal clear blue water shined when the sun hit it and tiny waves were made from the people swimming and having fun. I stepped onto the diving board and people cleared the way so they wouldn't be hit I bounced once and the second bounce I flipped in the air doing a perfect dive into the water. I came up for air and saw Marcus starring at me in awe I winked and motioned him towards the water.

Look I know I said I didn't want to get to know him but swimming alone is terrible!

He got up and headed towards the pool his tan skin seemed to glisten and he put his feet in the water next to me.

"So what did you need?" He asked me "well swimming alone isn't fun so I was thinking we could get to know each other in here" I responded swimming out a bit so he could get in

He sighed and slid his body in the water "so what do you want to know about me?" He asked in an un-caring voice "well how about we play ice breaker?" He looked confused "what's that" I was shocked he's never heard of it but explained anyway

"Ice breaker is a question game where I would ask a question and then you would and then I would so on so on but if for any reason you don't want to answer a question you say 'two more' which means I ask two more questions you have to answer. Make sense?" He nodded and told me to start

J: favorite color

M: black, favorite food

J: Mac n cheese, favorite song

M: I don't want to die by Hollywood undead, why are you here?

"well thats a little rude dont you think? but if you need to know my mom and dad were drunk and my dad being in his drunken stage stuck his woohoo in my moms youknowwhat and yeah thats kind of how" he looked confused "I didnt mean the story how how you were born stupid i meant why are you at this camp"

I thought for a minute and then responded "because I'm gay" it felt nice to get that off my chest and he chuckled

"Figured"

"What do you mean 'figured'" I asked confused "how did you know?"

He looked at me like I was dumb "straight guys don't usually wink at other guys or 'compliment' there ass" he responded "well straight guys don't usually get a hard on while seeing another guy undress" I stated and then asked my next question "are you straight Marcus?" He looked me up and down then he responded with a smirk
