Chapter 7: Oh Baby Girl, I'm Not Going Anywhere

"What the hell Vince let me down!" I exclaimed as he walked to his car, carrying me.

"You said to take what was mine. Well I did." He said calmly.

He set me in passenger seat and got into the drivers. I just sat there, thinking about what he just said. It kept repeating in my head.

"You said to take what was mine. Well I did."

He really did care about me.

Well obviously Spencer, he asked you to marry him. Dumbass...

"Today will be a trip of mysteries." He said with an evil grin on his face. Is he serious right now? I honestly just told him to get out of my life. Now he wants to take me on a date?

And I did look like shit. I was in pink bunny slippers, a big T-Shirt from Vince, and Mickey Mouse shorts.

"Vince I have to tell you something that happened last night." I said rubbing my throbbing head.

"Yeah?" He asked. 

"I think I was drugged. This dude brought me a drink and I drank it. And that's all I remember." I said shaking my head, trying to remember exactly what happened.

He grabbed my head and looked straight into my eyes. My heart beat was as fast as a rabbits, my brain felt like it was goo, running out of my skull. After looking at my eyes, he grabbed some pills out of the glove box and handed them to me.

"Take 2, trust me they will help." He said turning on the truck.

"What are these?" I asked checking the bottle for the medication name.

"Just take them." I popped two into my mouth and drank down some of this orange pop that was warm, probably has been in his truck for while. "Do you think I'm gonna die or something?" 

"No, I think you will be fine. Your head is gonna hurt for a while though."

I closed my eyes and felt my butt vibrate. I checked my phone and it was a text from Sierra.

 Hey it's Sia, we changed your schedule to 2 days a week now. So you have rest of the week off. Love ya!

I put my phone to sleep and asked, "Where are you taking me?"He totally blocked me out and continued driving. 

We got onto a dirt road and stopped when we got into a field. He grabbed my hand and pulled me out of the truck. He picked me up when he saw that I was only wearing slippers.

He sat me on a blanket that had a basket of breakfast on it.

"Just a nice breakfast to start off the day!" He said taking off his boots. They kind of stunk, so I moved them away from me. He chuckled and sat down beside me. I smiled and grabbed a strawberry from the basket.

"Vince. I'm really sorry about this morning. I just panicked. I almost thought I was going to lose you. And just the thought of it." I said as I was about to cry, but I fought back the tears.

"Oh baby girl, I'm not going anywhere." He said cupping my face. He left a small kiss on my forehead and continued to eat. 

He got up and said, "Damn, gotta pee. I'll be back." I nodded and watched him walk away.

As I dug into the last of the basket, there was a small note inside. I grabbed it and unfolded it. I already knew by the hand writing that it was from Vincent.

"Dear Spencer,

I have made a very complicated decision that you are going to have to understand. I'm not really good at anything else in life except giving you the world. Well I have figured out what my career will be. I will be joining the Army in a month. I hope you understand. 

I love you with all my heart munchkin.

Love Vincent." 

He is going to join the Army? When did he ever start thinking about starting the Army? 

He never even spoke of it around me. 

I was breathing harder now, wondering all the possible situations that he could be in.

 What if something happens to him, what if I never see him again? 

"Oh, I see you got my note.", Vince said coming up behind me, sighing.  He saw my expression and he jumped down beside me.  

"Your leaving for the A-Army?" My voice cracked at the end, as I tried to stay strong.  

He didn't say anything but continued to hug me. 

He couldn't leave me. We were engaged we are supposed to have a life together, he is everything I have. If I lost him....
