Chapter 13: Guilt and Grief

I looked down from my phone and looked at the door way, where Vince stood. I gave him a toothy smile and he just smirked.

"Something was different this time....", Vince said slowly.

"You noticed that too?", I said happily. He nodded and hopped back into bed. "I was going to go and visit Mom for a bit, if you would like to come.", he said grabbing my hand and tracing the lines.

I froze, was she going to tell him already? Wasn't it a little early.....

"Earth to Spencer.", he said making me come out of my thoughts.

"Yeah?"

"Will you come with me?", he asked again.

Should I come with him when his mother will tell him that she is pregnant?

"Sure why not.", I said getting out of bed to put on some clothes. I totally forgot that I was butt naked.

"Oh don't put them on yet.", he said smirking and grabbing my arm.

"Vincent!", I said yanking my arm back. I grabbed some yoga pants and a tie-dye shirt. "You need to get dressed too! You can't go to your mothers like that!", I said checking him out. He made a duck face and showed off his green underwear.

"Maybe I will go like this.", he said modeling for me. I grabbed a notebook and starting ripping out paper, throwing it at him. "You go girl!", I said in a really high pitched voice. He threw a pillow at me and started to get dressed. I tried to hide my nervousness, but I guess he saw the fear in my eyes.

"Is there something bugging you?", he said as he slipped his head through his shirt.

"Nope.", I said trying to sound confident but he just raised his eyebrows and slipped on his shoes. He grabbed me by the hand and pulled me out the door.

We pulled up into the driveway and he shut off his truck. I took one last glance at him and I saw the happiness his is eyes. I can't even be in there when she tells him.

But what if he is happy for her? I mean you never know, right?

We walked into the house and saw Meghan bolt straight up. She ran over and hugged Vince, I could hear her whispering but I couldn't quite make out what she was saying.

"Mom are you home?", Vince said as he walked into the living room.

"Hi Vincent.", she said getting up and giving him a hug. "I've missed you mom."

We all sat down and she began to say.

"Vincent, I have some news.", she said keeping her eyes on him. He shoved a chip in his mouth and waited for her to say the words. I couldn't watch, but my eyes demanded it.

"Um... I-I'm p-pregnant.", she said very slowly.

He held his chip in the air before he put it in his mouth.

"What did you say?", he said putting the chips down.

"Vincent, don't get angry with her. She just found out.", Meghan said trying to comfort him.

"Did you know about this?", he said glaring at me. I just looked down at my shaking hands.

"WHO THE HELL IS THE FATHER! MOM YOUR FUCKING PREGNANT? I CAN'T BELIEVE YOU!", he screamed. The whole neighborhood probably heard him.
