*************************Today was the four year anniversary for my wife's death.
Yesterday was Rosalie's birthday, so it was a stressful week.
"Daddy!" Rosalie said jumping into my arms.
"Hello munchkin. Did you enjoy your birthday yesterday?" I said kissing her tiny nose.
"Yes! I loved it!" She said smiling.
"I have a late gift." I said handing her a gray box.
I saw her eyes light up and she quickly opened the box.
"What is it?" She asked.
"It's your mother's necklace." I said getting the sapphire necklace out of the box. "And it's now your's."
I put it around her neck loose enough and said looked at the sapphire.
"It's really pretty." She said with her squeaky voice.
"Just like you." I said squeezing her cheek, she giggled and ran out of my bedroom. I looked at the picture on my dresser of Spencer and I.
Memories, oh memories.
"Daddy!" Rosalie once yelled again.
"Yes munchkin?" I asked.
"I have a present for you!" She exclaimed. I walked out of my bedroom and into her's, which was beside mine.
She handed me a box that had Christmas wrapping paper on it, which was just crumbled up pieces taped together.
"Oh look at this." I said
gasping and grabbing the box."You can't open it until tonight!" She demanded pointing a finger at me.
"Yes your majesty." I said smiling and picking her up. I put the present on her desk and carried her out of her room.
"Are you ready to go to Uncle Mike's?" I asked grabbing my keys.
"B-But I thought I was coming with you Daddy." She said stuttering and giving me those puppy dog eyes.
"But today is a sad day and I don't want to let you see me
sad." I said looking at her."Pleaseeeee!" She pleaded.
"Rose...." I said shaking me head.
"Pleaseeee Daddy!" She said again.
"Fine. But we won't be there long." I said opening the door. I locked the house door
up, hopping into my
new truck and putting her into the car seat."Was Mommy nice?" She asked as I began to drive on the dirt road.
"One of the nicest people I have ever met, and I don't really meet nice people." I said taking a sharp turn.
"Is she always watching over me?" She asked smiling.
"Every single day." I assured her.
"Even when I go pee?" She whispered.
I chuckled and said, "She gives you privacy when you do that kind of stuff."
We arrived at the cemetery in at least five minutes, pulling into the area where she was buried.
I hopped out and unbuckled her out of the truck too.
She ran up to Spencer's stone and ran her fingers through the engraved part of her stone. I heard her whispering before she looked at me and I walked over.
