Garnet's POV:

I stormed out of the school and turned the corner. I started to run; I ran all the way to the back of the school. There was a ladder leaning against the building. I stared up at it. This is it. My chance to finally have peace. At the thought, I climbed up until I reached the top. Once I got to the top, I walked across the roof of the two story building. The stone hitting my feet as I walked across. I set my backpack down and slowly continued until I reached the edge. I stared down at the cars and people below me. Well, I face two choices right about now. I could jump, or I could not. I thought as I looked at the fall. Peace. That's all I want. I backed away from the edge and sat against one if the stone walls surrounding an air vent. I brought my knees close to my chest, letting my tears and sobs fill the air around me.

Micah's POV:

Wow. Garnet has never blown up at me like that. After I hit her, she did blow up at me. But she was scared and nervous. This. This was anger. Pure anger. I admit, it did surprise me but then again, part of this was my fault.

I shook my thoughts and looked around at the other students. They were whispering and talking with each other. A couple were even in tears. They were all shocked at what'd just happened. Hell, I was shocked at what'd just happened. I looked over to the side and saw Justin. He'd finally climbed to his feet and was now surrounded by his friends. They were questioning him, but he seemed zoned out. Still in shock. That bastard. After a moment of studying the crowd I realized that Garnet had stormed out. I had to go after her. After that explosion, who knows where she could be.

Speaking of explosion, where the hell are the teachers when you need them?!? It's weird, when nothing big is happening their always watching you. Then when they really should be there, their nowhere in sight. I will never be able to understand the unexplainable ways of high school teachers.

After thinking, I walked out the double doors. I knew people were staring at me, but I didn't care. I needed to find Garnet. I walked around the campus but she was nowhere. I eventually gave up and leaned against the school building's brick wall. I closed my eyes and hoped that she was ok. Everything went quiet, then I heard a very very faint whimper. At first I thought I was just hearing things, then I heard it again. I opened my eyes and looked around. No one was there, but I could still hear the soft sound. Then I realized where it was coming from. The roof. I ran around the building until I came to a ladder. I started to climb towards the sound.

Don't worry Garnet. I'm coming.

Garnet's POV:

After a while of crying, I stood up from my spot against the wall and started to walk towards the edge. Once I reached it, I stopped and started to cry again.

This is it. My chance to get away. For good. I'll never have to look back. Just one step. And it'll all be over.

As my thoughts continued to swim around in my head, I looked down at the fall. It was kinda far up in my opinion. But all I had to do was close my eyes, think happy thoughts, and take one step. Before I could think anymore I heard a voice form behind me.

???: "Garnet, don't!"

I didn't have to turn around to know who it was.

Micah.

I didn't turn around. I just continued to stare at the ground below me. One step. And your free. I heard the foot steps get closer. I still didn't turn around. I couldn't.

Micah: "Garnet..."

I continued to softly cry as I debated on taking the step or not.

Micah: "Garnet, don't jump. You don't have to do this."
