Micah's POV:

I quickly got up and ran out the door. Not even thinking about what Mordi was gonna do. I started running around. Looking in everywhere. In every alley. Eventually I found her. She looked horrible. Her hair was messed up, she had blood all over her, and her ankle was purple. I ran over to her and fell to my knees. I put her head in my lap.

Micah: "Garnet."

She stirred a little bit but never opened her eyes. I picked her up bridal style and we I walked her home. Once we got inside I took her straight upstairs to my room. I laid her on the bed She looked so peaceful, but hurt as she slept. I went back down stairs to check on Mordi. He was still in the living room watching tv. I smiled in relief. Now that I think about it, I probably shouldn't have left him here alone. I went back up to my room to check in Garnet. She was still asleep. I went to the bathroom and got the first aid kit I pulled out an alcohol pad and started to gently wipe the drip blood from her arms. Once I'd done her arms, I took another alcohol pad and started to wipe her face.

Garnet's POV:

I woke in an unfamiliar room. I looked to the side to see Micah.

Garnet: "Micah?"

I tried to sit up. But when I did, pain shot through my body in all directions. I quickly fell back down.

Micah: "Hey."

I just let out a sigh. At least it was all over. Why the hell did Justin have to go and beat me up like that? I mean, I know that I did kick him and everything, but the note? And the way he touched me? Why? He hates me and I hate him. God, why is he such a bastard? Micah started to wipe my face. It stung when he got to the cuts on my face.

Micah: "What happened?"

Should I tell him? I don't want him to go out and do something stupid.

Micah: "You know you can tell me."

He wiped off one of the cuts next to my eye.

Garnet: "Ouch! I just don't want you to go out and do something stupid. Ouch!"

He ran over another cut.

Micah: "Ok fine. I swear on my life that I won't go out and do anything stupid."

I told Micah the story. The whole way through his eyes were wide. At the end of the story, Micah had his hands clenched in fists and he looked down.

Garnet: "Micah. I'm fine."

Micah: "But the way he hurt you. I just can't stand it. It hurts me to know that he was out there hurting you, and that I wasn't there to stop him."

Garnet: "Micah, it's ok. You promised me you wouldn't do anything stupid."

I sat up. Groaning in pain as I did. Once I'd made it up, I ran my hand up and down Micah's back.

Garnet: "Just calm down, and breathe."

Micah loosened his hands and looked at me.

Garnet: "I know it hurt you to see me like this. But I'm fine. I know you want to protect me, but sometimes I'm gonna have to fight my own battles. And when I do have to fight my own battles, the best thing you can do to help me, is be that person I can lean on. And the person to catch me when I fall."

Micah looked up at me. He stared at me with his pure green eyes. (I don't know if I mentioned this or not, but Micah had green eyes and Garnet has blue eyes. I know they're common colors but I like them so deal with it.) I gave him a small smile.
