Garnet's POV:
The doctor wants me to stay for the 4-7 days just to make sure that the bullet didn't hit anything of importance. Micah was with me the whole time. Whether he was physically with me, or texting me every 5 minutes to make sure I was still alive. It truly felt good to be back. Let me just say. A coma? Not exactly the best state to be in.
You know how some people like being in the hospital? Food served to you on a silver platter, tv all day long, wheelchairs and ramp. Yep sounds like the good life to some. And then there are others who dislike being stuck in a hospital. I just so happen to be one of those others. My stomach is always hurting if I move the wrong way, I've been prescribed with so many painkillers I'm seeing colors, the food tastes like plastic, and I'm stuck in a huge, green, itchy dress. But, I guess it's not so bad in someways. I've got a pretty cool view, I don't have to e at school, I don't have to be at home. See, it has some pros.
I was lying in my hospital bed, flipping through channels, looking for something to watch. Today's the first day in the hospital since I woke. So far, it's been nothing but painkillers, checkups, and boredom. At least until I heard a knock on the door.
Garnet: "Come in." I semi-yelled.
Micah opened the door and smiled. I smiled back, burnin off the tv. He only poked his head in as he spoke.
Micah: "Hi."
Garnet: "Hey."
Micah: "How ya feeling?"
Garnet: "I don't know if it's me or the painkillers talking, but pretty good."
Micah: "You up for company?"
He seemed kinda nervous when he asked that. Why?
Garnet: "Yeah. Why?"
Micah: "There's...uh...s-someone here to see you."
Garnet: "Ok...who?"
Micah opened the door and stepped in. Someone walked in behind him. I blinked, trying to make sure that this wasn't some twisted dream. I thought I was gonna be sick at the sight of the person standing next to Micah. It'd been so long since I've seen them.
She had long black hair and pale blue eyes. Just like me. She had on a white blouse and dark jeans with brown boots hidden by her jeans. She looked at me and gave a sad smile. Her teeth were pearly white. She was beautiful. Sure, I was infuriated with her. But I have to admit, she's absolutely gorgeous. After all these years, I'd forgotten what is was like to talk to my mother face to face. I'd sit and imagine what I'd say and how I'd react. But now that I'm here, looking at my mother face to face, I'm speechless.
Garnet: "M-mom?"
That's all I said. That's all I could say.
Micah cleared his throat and looked up at me.
Micah: "Um...I'm gonna leave you two to talk. Just, uh, gimme a call if you need me."
And just like that, he was gone. Leaving me, with my so-called mother. She looked up at me and smiled.
(A/N: Just a quick author's note. We're gonna call Garnet's mom by her real name at first but it may change to 'Mom'. If you want to go back to all of the chapters where I call Micah's mom 'Micah's Mom' you can go back. I went back through and gave her a name too, but later it just changes to mom. So yeah, we're gonna do the same thing here. It was pretty stupid of me to not just give her a name. I know, lazy me. Any who...back to the story.)
Garnet: "M-mom?"
Margret: "Hey baby girl." She said with a smile.
Garnet: "W-what are you doing here?"
