Garnet's POV:
The Aftermath:
Graduation. Probably the last time you and the rest of your class will ever be in one area at the same time again. For some it's a sad, depressing time. But me, I was excited, Ready. Sure I'll miss a selected amount of people, but I was ready to move on. And now, I am officially no longer a high school student.
My mom sold our house, and is moving to California. Her job was moved there permenantly, and I was leaving anyways, so why not? She was super happy; she's always wanted to go to Cali. We both promised to visit each other as much as possible, even though we'll be so far away.
My dad was released from prison. He found a decent job, got an apartment in town, and even made it to my graduation. He was kinda hurt that I'm moving away so soon after his release, but I promised him I'd be back to visit soon.
Micah's mom and brother stayed behind. Mordecai was kinda sad that his brother was leaving, but Micah promised to keep in touch with him and visit them both as often as possible.
As for his dad, they ended up meeting again. His dad showed up unexpectedly at graduation. He apologized for abandoning them and said that he wanted to make things right. Micah's still working on the whole trust thing, but at least their talking again.
Justin got a girlfriend. She's a skinny, supermodel-like blonde. Not the stereotypic type though, she's actually really sweet. And Justin's changed for the better. They've been going out since about a week after Micah and I made up, and are moving in together soon. They both got excepted into the same college, so they don't have to worry about a long distance relationship.
Trent finally found love as well. He met a guy at a coffee shop, they flirted for a bit, the guy wrote his number on Trent's coffee cup, and boom. They're going strong. Sadly, they got excepted to two different colleges, so they'd have to deal with a long distance relationship. But, it's obvious they're both head over heels for each other, so I don't think they have anything to worry about.
Candice is the only one who remained single. But, she's happy. Got a scholarship to a design school in New York, and is doing perfectly fine on her own.
Micah and I are better than ever. I got a full ride scholarship to a great college in Florida. And Micah got excepted into the college half an hour away. We both agreed to buy an apartment together, one that's smack dab in the middle between both colleges. That way, it'd only take us about 15 minutes to get to school, and we'd be able to live together. I got a paid internship to work with a pediatrician as a nurse at the local doctor's office near campus. I've decided that I want to go into the medical field and become a nurse. Micah wants to go into law, which is pretty cool. I never pinned him as the lawyer type, but he seems interested in it, so I say go for it.
Everyone's happy now. It's been a rocky road for everyone. People fought, people, were hurt, people were befriended, people were loved. Family's came together, friends became enemies, friends became lovers, enemies became friends. Things changed, some good and some bad. And things aren't done changing yet. So much has happened, and it all lead to a kinda sorta happily ever after. There's no telling what the future holds for anyone.
I guess that's what happens when you live your life as The One And Only Outsider.
The End.
