Calum walked in and looked at us three and walked straight back out.
I looked between Luke and Zoe in confusion. I guess it was now or never.
I got up and followed him.
"Hood." I called down the hallway sharply. My words could easily cut him like a knife.
He stopped in his tracks and slowly turned around to look at me.
I walked over to catch up with him.
"I need to know what's going on."
He sighed and grabbed my hand, walking to the elevator.
There was silence surrounding us as we went to the top floor.
I was expecting there to be a pool but that was bottom floor.
It was just a nice view with some benches in a presentable environment.
He lead me over to a bench that was isolated from other people. We sat down and he refused to look at me. He didn't spark up conversation and I was beginning to get angry already.
I gritted my teeth. "Okay, I'll start shall I? Why have you been ignoring me?"
He sighed and twiddled his fingers.
"It's not you, it's well, Zoe."
I was expecting him to say it was Luke's fault. I sat there, stunned.
"Look, I need to confess something and I am not proud of it."
"Cal-" I was cut off.
"You've heard that they won't confirm it because of me right? And that people are speculating she's a groupie for Luke?"
I nodded, unsure where this was going.
"Well the thing is... She was a groupie, for me."
My jaw dropped. Zoe was so reserved, so calm, so self-respecting. I didn't understand. And why would Calum get into groupies?
"Look, she's an amazing woman. Don't hate her for this, if you're going to hate anyone please hate me." He begged.
I glared at him.
"She's changed, she's always been an extraordinary lady. But since she's met Luke, they've both made themselves better human beings." He took a deep breath. "We were close, but we always said no strings attached, and I said it was a one night stand. But I was hooked, and I couldn't get enough. I craved sex, and by that point, her. I only called on her three times, and then she told me we had to stop, that it wasn't the right thing to do and I had to find someone to be able to depend on for such intimacy. And that's when I knew, well, I loved her."
I frowned to the horizon. What had happened to this band after I turned my attention away from them briefly?
"She ran out of my room crying after that because I told her how I felt. It intimidated her and she regretted everything we did together because she felt manipulated, which isn't a lie." He looked to the ground in shame. He cleared his throat. "Anyways, Luke found her and helped pick up her broken pieces, with no ill-intentions whatsoever. Then the two of them got really close and became attached, and now they want a relationship."
"Why can't they confirm it? Because of the paps? Because you won't allow it?" I asked bitterly.
"Because they're upset that they've hurt me." He mumbled, indicating that it was obvious that he was hurt.
