Regina stepped out the steaming shower and ran into her bedroom, the cold air nipping at every inch of skin, despite her best efforts of using the towel as a blanket. She wondered over to her wardrobe and look from left to right and left again. Her clothing had changed so much over the years. From Evil Queen, to Madam Mayor, to Lucy and now finally to just Regina. It was her first time making her proper official appearance back and she wanted to look hot doing so. She looked through her wardrobe and found an almost skin tight navy dress with a silver zipper going down the left side. Making the material at the leg rise so it flashed her thigh. Without a second thought she poofed her full outfit on and smiled as she admired it. She had been trying to get used to her magic again and so far was loving it. She looked to her feet and saw the converse she'd owned sitting at the side, however next to them were her black stilettos, something she hadn't had the chance of wearing in months. She was going o wear them throughout the few days she'd been back, but had rarely went outside and if she had it was her boots she'd been wearing. She sat down on the seat at the end of her bed and slipped her shoes on. Walking around the room for a bit before stopping in front of the mirror and smiling.
"Oh how I've missed you, Madam Mayor." She looked up and saw that she was still barefaced and her hair looked wispier than ever. With the flick of her wrist her hair fell down into long luscious curls, she smiled fondly at its length before coming to her senses and putting it back to its usual length. She walked over to her dressing table and sat down, starting the journey of her make up for another day.
She had been sitting at her Table for what felt like a few minutes until she heard her phone ringing. She picked it up and saw it was Robin.
"Hey, you, shouldn't you be working?"
"Regina it's already 10. I'm on my break. Please don't tell me you're still in bed?" He chuckled as he heard her sigh.
"No just doing my makeup that's all. I actually need to run if it's that time. Call me on your lunch break?" She spoke quick as she packed away her things into a little bag whilst holding the phone between her shoulder and ear.
"Um yea okay then. Speak soon?"
"Yea. Bye." She hung up the phone before he could respond, something she hadn't even realised she'd done.
"Everything alright, Robin?" Will stood across from him as he looked through the screws.
"Yes, I'm fine, but not sure about Regina. She left very quickly." He sighed and leaned against the counter.
"Busy day maybe? Remember he is the queen and the mayor."
"Guess so. How was Roland when you dropped him off this morning?"
"Good, that teacher is smoking looking."
"Miss De Ravin? Really? I mean she's pretty but smoking's a tad far."
"Nah mate. Mind if I pick him up again?"
"Of course not. He's still okay to stay with you right?"
"Course mate, anything for the merry men." He winked and headed for the door.
"Where you off to?"
"Thinking of going to get some flowers for Miss De Ravin. Catch ya later." And with that he left Robin alone with only his thoughts for company. Never a good idea.
Regina say in her car for a few minutes unsure whether to do this or not. It had been a while.
No, you are mayor. Show them that a true bitch doesn't back down.
She hopped out her car and headed for the hospital doors. She speedily walked through the sliding glass doors and smiled as she heard the loud clicks of her heels on the hard floors. Nurses heads turned sharply as they heard the sound that caused fear to be felt all the way down in the pits of their stomachs. She walked past each of them without even a glance until a young trainee nurse stepped forward and stopped her before she could reach the doors.
"I'm sorry, mam, you can't go in there."
Regina glanced down at the small blonde in front of her. She then glance from left to right seeing the scrunched up faces of her co-workers who obviously we're too late to stop her.
"And why not?"
"Because that area is restricted. Unless you have a pass then I can't let you through. If you have a loved one in a ward then it's down there to your left. That's were you can wait." Regina couldn't help but admire how much she was managing to withhold her position and stay firm, but, Regina was better at it.
"Well what if I were Mayor? Then would I get in?" Regina decided to play the innocence card to see what would happen, and was shocked by her reply.
"Well the mayor of this town was an idiot and went and got herself ran outta town by some witch cause she couldn't hold her ground. So if she decides to quit being a coward and come running back, sure, I'll let her in." The blonde narrowed her gaze and crossed her arms looking at the fire now burning in Reginas eyes. The whole room was silent as Regina raised her hand.
"I was going to ask nice, but then you insulted me. So now I'm going to do this the hard way." A fireball appeared in Reginas hand as the girl jumped back.
"What the hell!"
"Sorry I didn't even introduce myself." She extinguished the flame in her hand and held it out. "Hi there, I'm Mayor Mills. You are?"
The girl stood as she realised what she'd just done.
"Lexie." The girl mumbled and she coward back, looking very much like a mouse. Her face going from pale with fear to red with embarrassment all that the same time.
"Can I go back now?" Regina smiled a sickly sweet smile as the girl moved out her way and nodded.
The bitch is most definitely back.
