"Rumple? Is that you?" Belle spoke out as she walked to the front of the shop, but stopped in her tracks as she saw who was really there.
"Hello, Dear. Afraid I'm not Rumple." Her lips grew into an evil smirk. Whereas Belle looked like she'd seen a ghost, or at least she was as pale as one.
"W-we're closed."
"For normal customers, yes, but I'm not a normal customer." The glint in her eye made Belles heart drop. She knew that look. She'd seen it a thousand times before. It was the look she'd seen in Rumples eye when they first met. She'd partially seen it in her own eyes whilst she was known as Lacey. It was the look Regina had worn proud for years but managed to tear away from, the one her sister had worn whilst terrorising the town.
It was the look of pure evil.
"What're you doing here then?"
"Well, Rumpty Dumpty over there owes me something."
"What?"
"His life. But since he's immortal, I guess I'll do one better." Belles body flew to the back of the shop, her back pressed against the wall.
"St-stop. Pl-pl-please." She gasped for air but none would come. As the grip of magic tightened around her neck she began to see little black dots. Her eyes watering as she watched her fingers slowly tightening.
"Oh no, I can't stop and not finish what he started. All you have to remember is that this," she walked up to her and spoke so close to her that Belle could feel her chilling breath on her face, "is all his fault."
She watched as Belle eyes started to close over and her attempts to escape lessened. Until all that was left was her limp body barely able to fight to stay alive.
"Please, Regina, stop. You don't have to do this. You're good now."
"I was good, dear. Was."
"REGINA! REGINA!" Regina sat up startled and rather upset. Her whole body was trembling as she looked around to where Robin was sitting.
"You were having nightmare, my love." He pulled her close to him as her breathing was still going at insane paces.
"I killed her, Robin." Her voice came out barely more than a whisper as she spoke.
"Who?"
"Belle. I killed Belle. I was evil and killed her."
"Sshh, it was only a dream. Come here, Sshh." He rubbed up and down her back until he felt her start to relax slightly. She snuggled her face into the space between his shoulder and neck, letting herself be pulled into the darkness once more. Once Robin felt her breathing go back to a steady pace and her body stopped trembling, he slowly laid back and caught his own breath. He'd never known for her to have had such horrid dreams like this before. He listened as her soft breathing calmed him, and before he could register what was happening, he, too, was asleep.
Robin woke up early the next morning to find Regina still softly sleeping on his chest. He looked to the window and saw darkness still looming on the sky slightly, although the birds were chirping away. He then looked to the clock on the wall and sighed bewildered at the fact it said 8:15.
"I still haven't fixed it, it isn't 8:15." He heard a soft mumble come from his sleeping beauty, her voice hoarse from her sleep.
"I'm sorry did I wake you?" He spoke softly as he began to run his fingers through her hair.
"No, maybe a little." He could feel her smirking against his chest.
"Well you rest. I shall be back asleep soon anyway, I would appreciate it if you did too. By the sounds of things last night you didn't get much sleep." Her eyes popped at the mention of her nightmare last night. She'd been getting them a lot but hadn't told anyone. Last nights one was the worst so far.
"Thank you, but really I should-"
"That appreciation of you staying, wasn't a request Regina." He spoke softly but stern as he wrapped his arms tighter around her small frame.
"But-"
"Sleep. I'm right here if you need me."
"Mmkay" he heard her mumble as her body relaxed and her breath slowly evened out.
"Finally, her majesty listens." He mumbled before turning over and sleeping as well.
Once Robins breathing evened out Regina sprang to her feet, careful not to wake him.
"Yea, like I was staying any longer." She quickly poofed herself into running gear and her phone in her hand to play her music. She turned to check herself out in the mirror and jumped as he spoke.
"How stupid do you think I am?" Robin snaked his arms around her as her shoulders sunk.
"You knew?"
"Course, how was I supposed to not know?" He played the innocent card.
"I hate you."
"I love you too." He kissed her cheek.
"Can I go?"
"Go where?"
"Robiiiiin"
"Regiiiiiinaaaaa" he stomped his feet, mimicking her movements.
"Stop it!"
"Stop it!" He folded his arms and jutted his hip out as she did the same.
"Seriously, do you mind if I go?" She placed her phone on the dressing table and paced her hands on her shoulders.
"Only if you..."
"If I what?" He placed his hands on her hips and swung her onto the bed.
"Get past the tickle monster."
Before she could register what was happening he was moving his fingers around her sides and pressing inwards as she squirmed and squealed.
"Robin! Stop! Please!" She giggled like a young school girl as he lifted his brows.
"Sorry what was that? Couldn't quite hear you?"
He couldn't help but enjoy teasing her. He loved it when she laughed and giggled like this. It was a rare sight of her, one only he got the pleasure of seeing. Well Henry sometimes got to see her like this, but it was rare.
"STOOOOOP!" She yelled he began tickling her neck.
"But Milady, it's far too much fun." He smiled devilishly as he continued his little bit of torture.
