Regina flicked through all the files, going through what felt like hundreds of them.
Mickinly, Mifan, Migoil, Mikes until finally she canes to Mills.
She whipped out the first one she saw and saw his name written across the top.
Henry Mills
"Regina." She sighed as she heard his irritating voice echo down the hall.
"Dr Whale, always a pleasure." She smiled falsely and hid the folder behind her back.
"What utter bull, but we'll go with it. What're you doing here? You scared Dr Grey half to death."
"Good! She deserved."
"Look, either you leave me to it and pretend you never saw me, or, you take me down the long winding road of why I came even though we both no you're gonna eventually go with the first."
"Let's go somewhere private for a chat, oh, and being that folder you're hiding." He winked at her before she huffed and followed him down the steps until they came to an old looking room.
"Since when do you have an office?" She looked around and saw the old rickety desk, there rickety chairs and a crappy TV.
"Since forever. Now why're you here?" He sat down and watched as she stood.
"Henry came in and I want to know why and what happened."
"No can do. At least not with that file."
"Why not?" She jutted her hip out and raised her brow before he continued.
"Let's just say someone went to a lot of length so you wouldn't find that out."
"Who?"
"Can't say never meant him. Or was it a her? Can't quite recall."
"Listen here, fishboy, if you don't tell me you'll be out in the streets faster than you can say your own name."
"Well I do remember one thing." He nodded towards the hand that had now resided to holding him up by the collar.
"Which was?" She reluctantly released her grip as he continued to talk with his irritatingly smug voice.
"The amount they paid me." He winked at her, pushing her to her final nerve. She flicked her wrist and watched his face turn to stone as she created pouring rain above his head.
"Now until you tell me, that rain cloud shall follow you wherever you go." She smirked and walked out, leaving him sitting there trying to outrun his new friend.
As she was about to leave she heard some nurses gossiping and couldn't help to listen in. She stood behind the wall of the staff room so she could hear them well enough.
"So what did you do? With her son I mean?" One nurse said to another.
"Nothing! As far as I know she doesn't even know what happened to him. It wasn't my fault he almost, you know." She recognised the voice as the young intern she'd terrorised earlier.
"God! Could you imagine how pissed she'd be if he had! She would e heart broken, probably go into hiding." The other one gasped as Regina stood there feeling like she'd been punched in the gut.
"He was in here for almost a week afterwards too! All because that stupid boy couldn't watch out." Regina felt fire burn in her core as the woman spoke of her son.
"Hey, that enough. He's what, 14? He wouldn't know any better." She smiled slightly as the other woman defended her son for whatever he'd done.
"Yea I guess, I just feel bad for him if she ever finds out."
"Why?"
"Better not say. She could listen back on tapes or whatever and find out who it is that doesn't want her to know. I better go my breaks almost up." She heard a mug being placed down and quickly walked round the corner before she could be spotted. Speedily she walked to her car, fighting back all her emotions. Once in her car, she let them go. Every emotion she had was let out in one frustrate scream. Her hand whacked against the wheel with painful whacks. Her feet kicking the floor so hard it almost made a sickening thud. Tears of anger an hurt rolled own her face as she scrunched up her face at the volume of her screech.
Suddenly everything was silent. No more thuds, or whacks, or screams. No more tears or scrunched up noses. The only sound was her rapid breathing going off at irregular rates.
She sat for a moment before looking down at her feet and seeing she'd lifted some of the carpet back from that scrapes of her heels. The then looked to the palms of her hands and saw the were slightly swollen and red, sure to be bruised in the morning. Her makeup was still okay looking, a few smudges under her eyes but nothing a sweep of her finger couldn't fix. She leaned down to the floor and flicked her wrist so the carpet was fixed. She then looked into the mirror and began trying to wipe under her eye, but her hands seemed far to shaky. She went into her bag and grabbed a lipstick as redid that instead, waiting for her hands to steady out. Slowly but surely her breathing slowed and became in a regular rhythm again. Her hands stopped trembling and she managed to fix her makeup. A few more minutes passed and she couldn't help shake the feeling someone, or something, was watching. Shrugging off the paranoia she checked her phone for notifications.
Regina, you are in and empty lot. The furthest back from the hospital. Stop being paranoid.
Yet still she couldn't shake off the feeling of a pair of eyes piercing into her. She put her phone back in her bag and looked for her keys on the seat.
"Dammit! Where the hell are they!" She  yelled in frustration before spotting them glinting on the floor bending over she picked them up off the floor whipping her head back up she hit her head against the wheel.
"Shit!" She held the back of her head and watched as the world spinner slightly. She spotted one thing as her vision came back. She spotted a blonde in a yellow bug, driving off from the exact same lot she was in. The lot that had been empty. The lot she thought was empty.
