"Hey sis." Zelena spat out as she landed.
"Nice broomstick, sis." Zelena clicked her fingers an the broom disappeared.
"Thanks." She slowly walked up to Regina, taking in the sight.
"How'd you get back?" Reginas voice quivered slightly.
"Doesn't matter now, does it? All that matters is I'm here and alive. Totally loving this new look by the way." She pointed her fingers up and down as Regina looked confused.
"What?"
"Your new look. Oh, didn't know you had one. Well let me tell you what it is. Fear. Suits you." She shrugged and walked around Regina, loving how nervous she was getting.
"Listen Zelena I don't have time for your games." She huffed, frustrated with the fact she was enjoying this.
"Well you're going to play them. Only for a little while though. Until it's ready." She stopped finally, standing back from Regina, refusing to look away.
"What's ready? Your monkeys?" Regina loved sassing her. It almost gave her more confidence.
"What? Oh no dear. Got rid of them. Apparently their blood gave me more power. If I did a couple of changes and what not." She shrugged as though they meant nothing to her.
"Not sad you lost your precious pets?"
"Sad? Oh no darling, I rather enjoyed it actually. Feeling that power returning. It was...like being reborn." Her eyes went scarily wide as she ended.
"Not going I miss any of them?"
"God no! They were just my little messengers. And by this time next week, I won't need messengers." He loved reading Regina. It made her anxious, and Zelena could tell.
"What do you mean by that?" she rolled her eyes trying not to worry, but it was eating her up inside.
"You'll see soon enough. Oh look at the time. Best get off." Within second her broomstick was back in hand.
"Wai-" Regina true stalling her but WA too late.
"See ya!" She cackled as she disappeared.
"Seriously!" She yelled as she stormed off to grannies. She decided there was the best place to wait for the others. As she walked in she immediately regretted that decision.
"Regina?" He jumped up out of disbelief.
"Hi." She spoke shyly. She'd completely forgotten the fact he hasn't seen or spoken to her in nearly a week.
"Can I?" He went to hug her, but realised he'd been in the wrong so she may not want him to. And sure enough his fears were right when she shook her head. He dropped his arms and stood back.
"But I will do this." She walked forward and crashed her lips onto his. He of course was taken by complete surprise. The only time they pulled away was when the heard a cough.
"Either get a room or quit it." Granny had her hands on her hips, Robin couldn't help but blush.
"Sorry." He smiled apologetically.
"Robin we can talk later but there's something I've got to tell you."
"What?" He looked at her worriedly, then guided her to a table and sat down.
"Zelenas back." His eyes widened as he listened to her explain what had just happened.
"So she's going to try something?"
"Yea. But there's something you should know."
"You can stop her though. Surely. I know you and- sorry I kind of stole your thunder. Go on." He shut up, but she didn't speak.
How the hell am I supposed to tell him now? Oh by the way I don't think I can beat her! Bloody hell.
"Regina!" Her eyes snapped back to him as he grabbed her from her thoughts.
"Mm?"
"You were going to tell me something?" As if she'd called them, the doors bell rang out as Emma, Henry, Hook and David came marching in. Belle and Gold close behind.
Saved by the bell.
"Henry told us, what's going on?" Emma spoke hurriedly as everyone gathered round for them to hear her tell the story for a second time.
"So what now?" David asked.
"Well I suggest you all start saying goodbye to your loved ones." Everyone looked to Gold who'd been quiet till now.
"Why?" Henry spoke.
"Because I don't think your mother, no offence Regina, will be able to do this. Not this time. Before she was able to go into hiding for a bit and we took care of her. This time it won't be so easy. She isn't here to make Regina a little bit upset. She here to make her life miserable. A living hell. And to do that she will probably stop at nothing. So, like I said, spend this time with your families. Because if I know Zelena, and unfortunately I do, she will do anything to hurt her. Even if it means hurting herself." And with that Gold left the diner with Belle. Leaving everyone else lost for words.
No one dared speak. The silence was tense. Everyone thinking on what Gold said. To everyone's surprise, Henry broke the silence.
"He's wrong, right? You can defeat her Mom?" He questioned, looking at her with hopeful eyes. She couldn't bare to look at him. She knew she couldn't do it. So she knew she must tell the truth, but if he told a little white lie it wouldn't hurt too much. Tears welled in her eyes as she tried to decide. Tell them she couldn't do it and that Gold was right. Or tell them she'd wait and see, giving them false hope and expectations of something she knew she couldn't live up to.
"Regina?" Emma spoke but her words were useless as Regina was lost in her thoughts. If she gave them false hope, then they might expect too much. But if she gave them no hope, then they'd never believe in her. She knew the right thing to do. She knew what was right but knew it would kill her. It was if she had her very own devil and Angel on her shoulder.
False hope is better than none. But then they'll never believe in me again if I don't follow through. But what if I do? You can't defeat her you know this! Don't give them false hope, you know it's the worst hope of all. Think from experience.
Eventually she came to her decision. Whether it was right, she'd find out soon enough.
"Looks who you're talking to. Course I'll be able to do it. It'll take a little training. But I'll be able to figure something out." She smiled as everyone cheered and thanked her. Although she noticed Robin did not. She immediately did her best to know what he was thinking but she was rusty so only picked out a few words.
