A light dew hung in the air and the wind chorused through the burned trees and echoed my mothers lullaby. The shadow cat sniffed the bush and then a look of forlorn plastered its face. It looked around to make sure no one waa looking then jumped in the bush landing so its black nose was mere inches away from my pink one. I bristled but the shadow cat just sat then spoke. "Hello Lilypool. I am Spottedeagle. I used to be a regular cat like you but the shadows turned me into one of them. But alas I do not see things the way they do. I'm guessing you want me to lead you to the leader? Me being the only one to do so I agree. I would give anything to be a e egular cat again." her voice came out silky and smooth instead of ragged and horse like the other cats. She said so much the only thing I could do was nod.

She smiled noticably and flicked her tail. "Come this way." I obeyed and followed with Fireheart still pressing into me. Soon we came upon a black cat with amber eyes and long claws that couldn't even fit inside its paws. It was no shadow cat but all of the shadows gave it high treatment. "Lilypool you must save all these cats. There are some like me that where not brought into this world a shadow plus our leader is plotting on attacking the clans. You MUST kill him or all WILL fall."she instructed. She then walked out of the bush and sat down no far from the black tom but far enough to not be suspicious. I breathed in a breath of air. "Fireheart you will stay here and you will not engage in any fighting."as I spoke a light rain began to fall. There was now mud so I rolled in it disguising my scent. I creeped out and got closer and closer to the black tom. My stomach felt wheezy and one shadow cat noticed me and yowled but that was drowned out by a crack of thunder.

I was behind the tom now who was oblivious to me. The wind hummed the melody of the lullaby and I pounced land on the toms black shoulders. He screeched in surprise and soon all the shadow cats watched as I fought with him. He through me off and I landed skillfully on my paws. Rain dripped from his fur and mine and he yowled as he ran at me. I watched his shoulders and easily predicted on what he was going to do next. I jumped up landing on his shoulders and clawing and biting him. He screeched and rolled. I let go and saw my chance jumping in him and putting my claws to his neck. He yelped and stared into my blazing green orbs. He sheathed his claws and waited for me to kill him. Something inside me told me this was wrong. So letting go m I grabbeed his scruff and nearly dragged him out to the bushes. I grabbed some vines that where surprisingly green and healthy and tied him up I then lead him back and sat him down.

"Realise all the cats you turned shadow. NOW!" I hissed and he flinched. Then with tap of two claws shadows faded from a few cats and they where all happy and jumping around. One tortoise shell she cat came up to me smiling. "Great job Lilyp-star. You saved us. And without killing him." I reconized the voice and gaped in awe. "Your Spottedeagle?" she noded. We all left the burned territory and Whitebolt was over joyced to see all the cats and was extremly happy to see Spottedeagle. Then it happened my mother appeared "great job my preciouse kit. You are the moon."she cooed. I was confused but then the words to my lullaby came to rest. Determination hit me and tightening my grip on the vines I raced back to camp and the black tom kept up with me barely. I got to camp and spat the vines at Sandpelt.

"Your in charge of him and don't set him free!"I panted before turning to my den I heard a soft whimpering and sniffling and walked in to see Goldenkit laying by the wall crying her littermates and Eaglepaw where all sleeping in the nest. "Oh my kit? What is the matter?"I cooed wrapping my paws around her and pulling her into my chest. "I had a dream that everyone died because of shadows and I couldn't save them."she whispered sadly. I licked her head and cuddled her soft dark gold fur. Then I got an idea. I'll sing my mothers lullaby.
