A/N: This chapter has a bit of a time jump! I want to get straight to my main plot, so adding in all sorts of other stuff is just bothersome. This will not go directly with any ouat plot, but it will make sense.

Thank you guys for being so patient. I know I said I would update this regularly, but school has been kicking my butt!

After about three weeks of helping Emma become familiar with Storybrooke, she has stopped chatting with me, as she no longer needed help with anything. I was okay with this, because Emma was always upset when I talked to her, so her presence was not very pleasant.

However, just because Emma was no longer a part of my day anymore didn't mean odd things weren't still happening. Recently the mayor had become extremely angry, and her son was always running from her. He had always been talking about how Regina was an Evil Queen who had put a spell on us so she could rule over us, but I never really believed him.

But this time, I was starting to wonder if he wasn't exactly wrong.

I wiped the thought away as I patted some oil off of my face from a recent car, a tired sigh emitting my lips. "Well, I think I'll be going home. Have a great evening, Gepetto!" The old man smiled at me, nodding his head as he waved me away.

I left the garage, enjoying the sent of fresh evening air.

I decided to go to Granny's Diner, as my stomach was rumbling and it was the closest source of food. This should've been like any normal walk, but I could feel that something was off. Out of the corner of my eye I could see a dark shadow that had the form of a man.

Surely it should not have been anything to worry about, but this figure was not familiar, at least, not from the corner of my eye. Luckily Granny's was coming into view, so I quickened my pace. The figure was coming near and I could hear his heavy boot thuds on the pavement, but I pretended to ignore it as I approached the door of the quaint diner. Pulling the handle, I smiled as I hear the familiar ringing of the bell.

I looked behind myself as if to check if I needed to hold the door for anyone behind me, but I was really checking to see if the stranger was still behind me. No one was there.

I sighed with relief, thankful that I was just being paranoid.

I decided to sit in a booth by the front window as I enjoyed observing people who were passing by. Granny's daughter came over, asking for my order.

I smiled at her and quickly asked for a grilled sandwich and iced tea. She nodded at me and left.

I turned my head to the window to see who I could observe. The first person who caught my eye was a tall, shadowy man who was across the street. I couldn't see his face, but somehow I felt like he was watching me. Then I realized that he had the same shape as the man who was following me...

Oh boy...

Just as I was getting my dinner, the figure started to cross the road. My heart sped up, but I pretended like I didn't see him, pushing my dinner around with my fork. I took a sip of iced tea to try to calm myself.

Why are you freaking out so bad? You are in a lit up diner with tons of other people, stop acting like you are so special!!

As I took another deep breath, the figure approached the door. I decided to pull out my phone and pretend to be interested in a text.

Then the door jangled and I held my breath, praying that he wasn't some creep that was going after me.

I glanced up, hoping to steal a glance at the stranger.

He was looking directly at me.

Light blue eyes gazed upon me, and a sudden sense of familiarity surrounded me. He had a somewhat sad look upon his face as he looked at me, scratching his light beard with a calloused hand.

Then I noticed that he was wearing something similar to a pirates outfit, a black leather coat hung upon his shoulders.

This man was certainly confusing, and I decided that getting involved with him would probably be a bad thing, so I tore my eyes from his and sipped my tea while flipping through my phone. He stood by my table for another few seconds before quickly walking out of the diner.

I was hoping that this would be my last encounter with this mystery man, but I was not so fortunate.
