Song above: Dark Classical Music- The Shadow's Bride - Piano & Cello by Peter Gundry (check out his youtube, he has some pretty cool tunes in my opinion). I thought that this fit because Gold is a bit mysterious/creepy, so eh whynot, amiright?

After we finished our pizza, we headed over to Grannie's, as I had an idea of where we could hide our van without too much trouble; however, we would need permission. We asked Granny if we could use the locked up lot behind the restaurant to hide the van, since the gates that surrounded it were pretty high and were thick, so it was nearly impossible to see through them.

Luckily Granny really liked us and could see our distress, so she gave us an extra set of keys to the lot and allowed us to stash the van. The lot was now our new home, and it did feel safer. Christian and I also decided to not drive it anywhere, because we didn't want anyone tracking it back to the lot.

For now, we would have to walk everywhere on foot unless someone would allow us to borrow some bikes for a bit. Being outside late was also a no-no at this point.

Since Christian and I really needed to be able to get to work easily, the bike issue would need to be taken care of.

After a lot of thinking, we decided to go to Gold's Pawn Shop, as we had seen some bikes there previously.

We entered his old-timey shop, the golden bell announcing our arrival. There stood Mister Gold, an old man with grey hair that feathered above his shoulder. He always had a smile on his face, albeit a snaky one. Sometimes he came across rather... mysterious, if that's any way to put it, but for now he was our only option.

"Ah- yes, hello there Kat and Christian. How may I help you today?" He asked in his slithery voice.

Working up the courage to speak to him, I choked out,"H-hey, Mr. Gold- we need two bikes. They need to be cheap, so if you have any in bad shape we'll take them."

He nodded, a glint of curiosity appearing in his eye. "Bikes, hmm? I'll go see what I have in the back..."he said slowly, eyeing us with suspicion. As he disappeared from our view, Christian and I let out a quiet sigh of relief.

"I don't remember him being this shady last time,"Christian whispered with humor.

"Agreed."

Gold came walking slowly out of the back with one bike, as he didn't have a free hand to hold is cane. Apparently a few years ago he had an accident with a car that screwed up his leg- or at least, that's what he told us when we asked.

The bike was incredibly rusted and one wheel looked loose among other issues, but everything looked fixable.

"Looks good..." I slowly said, worried that there was only one. "I have another one in the back that looks similar to this one. I'll sell you both for a fair price, but I have one question. Why do you need them?"

Ugh, of course he was being nosy. I looked back at Christian and she raised her eyebrows as if to say Idk, dude.

Figuring that if I made it seem like we didn't really need the bikes, Gold would figure we wouldn't buy if they were too much so I decided to lie. "Extra re-assurance, just in case the van stops working. Might also give one away as I gift for a close friend..." I answered nonchalantly.

Gold looked at me for a moment, as if he was trying to figure out if I was telling the truth or not. Being observed by Gold was like being hunted by a snake- or a crocodile. He's too clumsy to be a snake.

Finally he nodded, mustering up a price. "Okay then, I'll deal both of them to you combined for... $80."

I felt Christian tap my shoulder twice, which meant yes, so I nodded my head to Gold and pulled out my wallet as he headed to the back to get the second bike. As he was in the back I took a moment to look at his display cases (he always has out interesting doodads).

Finally everything was ready to go and Gold was paid, and I let out a loud sigh of relief as we exited his shop with our newly acquired items.

By this point the sun was just barely starting to go down, so Christian helped me wheel the bikes to Gepetto's shop to get them fixed up and then went back to the van to tend to things. I spent most of the evening cleaning up the bikes and fixing all of their issues.

By the time I was finished with the bikes, the sun was completely down and it was past dinner time. I called Christian and told her I would need her back at the shop to help me wheel the bikes to the diner.

After fifteen minutes Emma's yellow buggy pulled up to the shop, Christian bouncing out of the back. "Thanks Emma!"

Then Christian bounced up to the shop as Emma pulled away, a big smile on her brown painted lips.

Christian applauded my work as we headed back to Grannies, locking our bikes up beside the van.

"Shit!" I suddenly yelped, realization hitting me.

Christian was instantly by my side, eyebrows raised. "What?"

"We forgot to get the book..."

Within an instant her and I were on the bikes, speeding to the Sheriff's station before it was too late. Luckily the Sheriff hadn't gone home yet, and he allowed us to take the book with us since it had no evidence.

Once we got back to Grannies, we decided to have a late dinner and take a look at the book. Ruby gave us some pie, which I sat aside as I was too interested in the book- Christian, on the other hand, started chowing down.

I looked at the pages, identifying where Hook's page had been ripped out. The page afterwards only had a picture of his ship, and the caption said,"The girl who softened his heart was a hostage on his ship at first, but eventually, things progressed. This girl had somehow gotten under Hook's skin, and they fell for each other."

"Unfortunately, a closed off pirate and an insecure girl do not mix, and they ended up having a fight. They were separated, and the girl was cursed to never see the pirate again due to the Evil Queen's spell. As the Queen's spell drifted over the lands, never touching where Killian was, he was left whispering her name..."

I flipped the page to find a picture of Killian and a picture of a girl. Before I read the caption, I glanced at the picture of the girl with cat ears.

She looked almost exactly like me, aside from the large wild eyes and cat features.

"Kit,"was written under the pirate's picture, as if he were saying her name. (Look above to see photo, you'll need to click right I think)

No, it couldn't be. It really could not be.

Then I noticed a scar above her left eye in the same shape as my birthmark, which was above my left eye.

"We need to talk to Henry."
