02. Revenge Best Served... Wet.
Song above: Behind Blue Eyes by Limp Bizkit
"Wake up- oh please, wake up! Hatter, are you sure none of those plants were poisonous?"
"I am 99% sure that none of those were poisonous. As for that 1%... eh... I'm not so sure."
"Oh, well that's just great! I leave my sister to fend on her own and become a woman and she does this. She will never grow up, she can't ever fend for herself, she can't even learn herself a few simple spells and magic tricks! She is worthle-"
With that I shot up off of the Hatter's old wooden table-not great for the back, mind you- a sour expression plastered onto my face. I can't believe Chesh would say something like that! My whole inner being turns to a sad, mucky mush at the thought of him criticizing me like that. Where do such vile words such as his come from? I thought he loved me- I thought he was family. Just this morning, he seemed to love me. He was my brother. And now- now he is a stranger.
Wanna know what I do to strangers who disrespect me?
I play a little prank, if you will, on them. A prank that will get me something in return. I guess you could call it a form of revenge.
Looking directly as Chesh's wide, surprised eyes at my sudden waking, I send him a cruel smirk. A smirk that would send chills through anyone who decides to rub me the wrong way. And sure enough, he was shivering, his little whiskers shaking.
"So. You think I'm worthless? Well then-"
"Kit, I didn't mean it! I-I-"
"You what? Had a little fit?"
Looking at the Hatter, I stated with a matter of fact tone to my voice,"He gets this way sometimes sometimes-acts like a little boy-usually not with me, though. I think it's time for him to learn a lesson, don't you? A little bit of punishment, a little bit of sorrow, might do him some good," I finished, eyeing Chesh slyly. His striped fur was brissling. Hatter only nodded hesitantly, not knowing how to handle such a situation.
I ran through the Hatter's house to the back door, bursting though it to his "backyard". There lay a small, sparkling lake of water. Using my small amount of magic skills and my anger at my brothers betrayal, I rather harshly levitated him over the water, using my hand to direct my magic to where I wanted him to go. Now Chesh hung just over the water, running in mid air, trying to resist the water.
Smirking once more I snarled,"Now, Cat, this is what vile, backstabbing creatures get. Pain. Punishment. Fear for their own lives. Have fun swimming," something I very well knew he couldn't do. I then dropped him into the water and watched him flail and screech and squirm, none of his struggles having any outcome. Laughing deviously, I walked away to let him suffer.
Walking back into the Hatter's shack, I was met with a large, metal pan to the face. Once again, everything faded to black. I really do have a thing for getting knocked out, now don't I?
