"Ace," Domonic barked after seeing Emma safely to Josh and Sharrens home, "go guard the front gate!"
"Yes sir," Ace ran to the front guard post.
"Felix," Domonic turned to an older wolf who was part of the circle of elders, "guard the back gate!"
"Yes sir!" Felix darted away toward the back gate as the male older wolves got into position. Mothers and children went home to get into bed.
"Dad," Domonic stopped dead, causing Eric to bump into him, as Eric and he walked home, "I'll meet you at home. I have to go see if grandmas okay!"
Turning to face toward a newer side of town Domonic rushed off. His grandparents were Sally's parents, Jhonathan and Suzan Mueller. They lived in his birth parents old home, which use to sit all by its self but was now surrounded by multiple homes. The village had grown large over the years. Many of the pups that Sally knew had grown and raised family's so now the village was mostly werewolf.
"Domonic!" Suzan shouted rapping her arms around her grandson, "thank the lord your ok!"
"Grandma," Domonic filled with joy, "thank Him that your safe! But grandma, where is grandpa?"
"He's gone!" Suzan cried out, her face falling to Domonics shoulder as he closed the door and fell to the floor on his knees with Suzan trying to calm her, "they took him!"
"What?" Domonic began to shake, a low growl came from low in Domonic throat, "when!?"
"Right before they retreated!" tears poured from Suzans eyes as she spoke, "He came home right as the horn sounded to protect me seeing as I can no longer shift. He was putting me in the cellar when three hunters barged in. He shoved me into the door slamming it behind him. When the all clear sounded I got out and he was gone!"
"I'll kill Sampson for this," Domonic growled as anger coursed threw his body. His blood boiled and he began to shake vigorously. Curling over Domonic covered the floor with his breakfast and looked up at his grandma. His eyes began to turn gold like they did before you shift.
"Domonic," Suzan spoke urgently, "calm down, there is no room for a giant wolf in my hallway!"
Breathing deeply Domonic forced himself to calm down. Slowly his blood cooled and his heart beat lessened.
"I'm calm," Domonic breathed, " sorry. I promise you grandma, one day I WILL kill Sampson!"
"NO!" Suzan growled, fear in her eyes.
"Why?" Domonic asked quizzically.
"Because," Suzan replied, "you mother, Sally, died trying to avenge her friends!"
"Why have you never told me?"
"I was always afraid of upsetting you!"
"Well can't upset me anymore then I am now!"
"That's why I told you. Do you want a cookie?" Suzan began walking away.
"Well actually," Domonic froze mid sentence as a scene unfolded before him.
The room seemed to zoom in on the middle of the dinning room, which tell then had been clear and the table in the corner, where appeared a long dinning room table. Around the table sat three people. A tall girl with caramel hair, letting Domonic know it was his birth mother Nichole. A smaller girl with bright gold hair, Domonics adopted mom Sally. And a younger Eric who had less worry lines then the Eric Domonic knew.
