What?!" Domonic gasped, fear making his face glow.
"Do not," Marcus fumed, "take me for my father or brother!"
"What was the name of the girl?" Domonic asked, "the one you married and rasied this pack?"
"Edith," Marcus face fell and his eyes fogged over with memories he seemed to look at Domonic as if he wanted to say somthing but decided not to.
"Thats the name of the girl Jackaby threatened to kill!" Domonic gasped.
"what?" Marcus seemed confused.
Domonic began to explain the story that every pack member had grown up being told. The two were silent for a while as a group of children ran threw the road cutting off the two packs. As the silence grew Domonic was able to focus more on his sarroundings. Many small snow covered buildings lined the streets. Marks of wagon wheels marked the street and each wolf paw mark flowed behind Domonic and the others. A tall two story building sat near the end of the street a sign hung above the door reading 'Mt. Luna orphanage' and they could see kids running around laughing and playing in the orphanage yard.
"Now tell me again how many have no parents," Marcus asked.
"Tweenty," Domonic replied, "seventeen pups, three vampires all banshie children that survived have at least one parent."
"they can stay here then," Marcus said, "they will get clothing and shoes but i would suggest the vampires get inside quickly the suns about to get over the building."
"You heard him you three," Domonnic called to the three vampires, "go! All orphane children go!"
After the parentless left the group Domonic really began to see just how pitifull his pack now was.
"We are about to shift," Domonic said realizing what time it was if the sun was so high.
"Go behind the wall and into the bushes," Marcus motioned, "do you have clothes?"
"No," Domonic admited, "we shifted with them on, not thinking."
"Thats alright," Marcus smiled, "ill have somone go grab you some clothes."
"Thank you," Domonic headed toward the wall, "girls in those bushes guys over here with me."
"Yes alpha," the pack was clearly trying to show off to Marcuses pack.
"Have Jake," go get our guests some clothes," Marcus said. The sneer in his voice making Domonic slightly uneasy. One of the wolves nodded and left the came back and stood beside Marcus.
Domonic stood behind the wall as he transformed into a human. The pack quickly followed suitbehindging behind the wall and some bushes as the orphanes shifted in the orphanage. An almost familiar voice can from the back but Domonic ignored it as he was handed some clothing.
The girls were on one side of the road and hidden by a thicket and the wall. Marrium was the first done but Marcus pack hand turned human and gotten dressed faster then Dominic's. Dominic's pack was very much smaller then Marcuse's and that was visable even in human form. The town was covered in snow to the point it was as if they were in one of those hand painted post cards. The streets were crowded and busy but everyone would make a hole for Marcuse's pack which made Domonic more suspicious. Marcus drew them all close to a tall building with the words Mt. Luna Inn written in black paint.
"You all can stay here," Marcus explained as they all entered. The buildings interior was typical for a small out of the way town that most likely got few visitors. Its walls had few decorations and a majority og the paint was chipping off the wood. The pack walked in but Marcus made his stand outside. A burly old man stood behind a counter his white hair showing he must be near 70. He stood as Domonic approached, Marcus right behind him.
"Lewi!" Marcus said in an all to friendly voice, "Give thies good people a room and not a Lue more then you make others pay!"
"Yes sir," Lewi grumbled, "20 Lues each please."
"Oh," Domonic frowned, "thats all we have..." he goes to hand the man his money when Marcus smacks it out of his hand and gives it back to Domonic.
"Now Lewi we both know your normal price is ten Leu a week!" Marcus growled, "i told you no more then your norm! now they can stay here for free! if you have a problem take it up with me!" the menacing look in Marcus eyes made Domonic take a step back, for a second Marcus looked just like his brother.
"No problem sir," Lewi seemed to fear Marcus and backed away as Domonic was lead to his room. Everyone was on the same floor and each room was diffrent. Two had one bed and the rest had two beds. The paint in each room was just as magnificent as the last and soon Doonic and Suzan reached their room and entered.
"Wow!" Suzan exclaimed as she entered. The room was elegant beyond belief. golden drapes covered the windows and two giant four poster beds filled the room. Eacg bed had golden comforters and golden drapes you could pull over and close yourself off with. A giant bear skin rug sat in the middle of the floor and a chandeler hung from the ceiling.
"You would think that if this rooms kept nice the whole Inn would be.." Domonic pondered. But, to exausted to think on it for long, he fell onto the closes bed and fell asleep his clothes and all.
