Lonnie's P.'O.V
I just moved back. I really missed my ex-girlfriend, Tamryn. We've been apart for a while. We tried long distance dating but it didn't work. I think she was a afraid that I would find someone else there. Every girl there wasn't like her. Now that I was 17, I decided that I would come back with my brother. I still had her number, I didn't know if she wanted to talk to me.
When I got back I went to her house. I kissed her then left. I didn't know what she would say. That was a few days ago and I still haven't heard from her. I was nervous, what would she do when we had to go back to school . I couldn't take the chance and wait until school. I was going to text her.
I pulled out my phone. I typed, Hey, can we talk? I didn't know how long it would take for her to respond. I sat around with my leg jiggling. I could sit still. I was across the room when I heard my phone go off. I got up can ran to it. I grabbed it and held it close. I was disappointed when I saw it was my old friend, Kaelen.
I ignored it and started pacing around the room. My phone went off again. It was Tamryn she said, Sure. Come over now. My parents aren't home.
I grabbed my keys and left. On the way over it seemed like every light was red. When I got there I saw that there was a few extra cars in her drive way. Who was here? I knocked. No one answered. I knocked louder. Still no one answered. I saw there was a doorbell and rang it the way I used to. I heard footsteps. Someone grabbed the door, turned the knob, and hesitated to open it. Finally, she opened the door. She stepped aside so I could come in. I heard laughter from upstairs.
"Who's all here?"
"Just Abbie and Kaleah."
"Oh."
"You wanted to talk?"
"Yeah. About the kiss I, uh, didn't mean to, uh, leave you standing there. I just wanted you to know that I miss you."
"You couldn't do that over the phone why?"
"I wanted to tell you in person and let you know I was back."
I could hear footsteps coming down the stairs.
She looked at me. "Bye." She reached and opened the door and motioned for me to leave.
As I stepped out the door, it slammed behind me.
"Who was that?"
"No one," I heard her say.
