"Guys! I know what we should do!" Kaleah said.

"What?" Abbie asked.

"We should... Have s'mores!"

"I totally forgot about those." Stratton said. He reached behind his and Kaleahs log. In his hands were marshmallows, gram crackers, and chocolate.

I looked at Chad and grinned. He looked at me and smiled. He leaned down until his lips were at my ear. He whispered," I love you."

I whispered back,"I love you too."

Stratton walked around handing everyone a roasting fork, so we could make our s'mores. I loved bonfires and s'mores. You could only have them over a fire because it was the only way they tasted good. I grabbed a marshmallow and got close to the fire. I squated down and waited. I put it down towards the coals where it's the hottest. I hated getting my marshmallow on fire but it usually happened. I was surprised when it wasn't. I grabbed some gram crackers and chocolate.

Madi and her boyfriend, Jacob, filled in Bodi and Serina's usual spot. It was weird. I was so used to her always being here and Bodi's lame jokes. Jacob was about 5'9" unlike Bodi who was 6 foot. All the guys toward over us. We weren't all that tall., like 5'5"-5'7".

"Hey, it's late. I should go home before my grandparents wake up to see me gone." Kaleah said.

Stratton pulled her into a hug. "I don't want you to go, though."

Kaleah said something but I couldn't hear it because Strattons shoulder muffled her voice.

"Okay.  I guess you can go." We knew he was trying to persuade her to stay.

I stood up and stretched my legs. They were stiff from sitting for so long. The guys stood up as we were making sure we had everything. I had everything that I had brought. Zach hugged Abbie, Jacob started tickling Madi, Stratton hugged Kaleah from behind, and Tamryn and Lonnie were looking into eachother's eyes. I looked at Chad. He was looking at everyone else.

"I swear to god if you tickle me I will punch you," I said. He knows that I hate being tickled. Once he tickled me, he learned the hard way.

"I'm not."

He started getting closer. I was inching away from him. I turned and started to run. He followed me. I ran into the trees. I hid behind a bush. I was trying to be quiet. He ran passed me. I moved quietly and sprinted out. I was back at the clearing with my friends. I turned around to see if he was behind me. He wasn't. I walked out a little bit farther. I rested my hands on my knees to catch my breath. When I got it back I heard branches snapping. I walked back in to see if it was Chad. I tripped on a stick and fell. There were to feet by my face. the person reached down and grabbed my hand. I looked up to see Chad.

"Oh. Hello there." I was trying not to laugh.

"Nice job."

"Thanks." we walke back to our friends.

"Guys we really should get back," I said. The sun was starting to rise. The boys stomped out the fire. They walked with us. We hadn't seen their truck when we came. We all climbed in. We drove off first. The black truck was left in the rear view mirror.
