Just for the Summer

Chapter 25

Note: I'm back my original point of view.

We sat in Tamryns car. We were at a cornfield. To the right were the wood we were about to go into.
"Are you guys ready?"
"Sure." Kaleah said.
We hadn't told her where we were going. We all climbed out of the car. We headed towards the woods.
"Wh.. Why are we going in there?"
"Oh come on. Live a little." Abbie said.
We continued walking. We stopped at the edge. I flicked k my phone flashlight. There wasn't any  service. We walked through the trees. Chad and I came here often when we wanted to get away. Tonight the guys and him were going to be there and wanted us to. We walked for at least 15 minutes trying not to get hit with branches. We eventually got to a clearing. About 10 feet ahead there was a log. There were logs set in a hexagon. In the center there was a bonfire going. The guys were all spread out. I realized Bodi wasn't there. He was probably at the hospital with Serina. After the news she got mad and told us to leave. She didn't want to believe it.
Abbie walked over to Zach. Se sat down and he wrapped his arm around her. They were adorable together. I liked around and saw that everyone was with there boyfriends expect for me and Tamryn. Tamryn was sitting next to Lonnie. When did he get back? Sense when were they together? Chad came over to me. We hugged.
"Come on. Let's sit."
We walked over to an empty log. As I was going to sit I fell and landed hard in the log. It hurt. I looked up and saw everyone looking at me. I hated that. I looked away.
"Are you okay?" Chad asked.
"Yes I'm fine," I said sharply. It sounded mean. I didn't mean too. I looked over at him. He looked hurt. We eyes meet. He got up and walked off. I it up and followed.
"Chad!"
"Chad, slow down!"
He didn't slow down until we were five minutes away from our friends. He stopped and turned around. His eyes narrowed. "Why?"
"I'm sorry. I didn't mean to say it like that."
I moved toward him. He backed away. I moved faster than him and grabbed his hand. He tensed up. "Hey. Look at me." He looked downward toward me.
"Why?"
I got really close and stood on my tip toes. I pecked his lips. His ridged shoulders loosened.
"It's okay. I forgive you," he said. I saw him start to smile.
He moved his other hand and put it around my waist and pulled me close. I leaned my head so it rested in his chest.
"We should get back."
"I guess."
I lead him the way out. We reappeared in the clearing. Everyone turned to look and knew everything was okay. We sat there for a while and talked. We heard a twig snap. A few more snapped. A lean, tall figure appeared barely able to see. It was Bodi.
"I came from the hospital. They just put her cast in. They put her on heavier meds. She'll be out in a few days. Do you want to have a welcome home party?"
"Yes!" Abbie, Kaleah, Tamryn, Zach, and Stratton yelled at the same time.
"Great be at our house at 10." He disappeared into the trees again.
