Chapter 24

Serina's P.O.V

I woke up. Everything was blurry.

"Where am I?"

I saw a figure move. It was tall and looked like a guy. "The hospital," a deep voice said.

My vision started to clear. I saw it was Bodi. He looked worried. I smiled weakly. I felt like I couldn't move. I tried to move my leg but a pain shot all the way up my leg. I winced.

"You hurt your knee. Do you remember?"

"Ya."

The doctor came in. It was a women. She had on to much make-up. She looked like a whore. "Oh, good your up. Are you hungry?"

"No."

"Do you remember what happened?"

"Yes."

"Okay. That's great." She paused. "I just wanted to let you know that you might need surgery. We haven't identified how bad it is. We think you broke your patella."

"What the hell is a patella?"

"It's your knee cap."

That made more sense. "How long will I be in here?" All I wanted to do was leave.

"In a about 15 we are going to take an X-ray to see how bad it is."

"Great. Just Great." I fake smiled. She smiled back them left.

I looked at Bodi. His blonde hair was a little longer than it normally was. I reached for his hand. "Have my friends came?"

"No, not yet. Do you want me to call them?"

"Ya. Tell them to bring me real food. I ain't eating food from here."

He smiled and got up. He stood outside the doorway and called. I glanced around the room. To my right there was a vase of red roses. Left there was some 'Get well soon!' cards. At the end of my bed was a bunch of balloons in bright colors. I was surprised. Didn't they have a rule for how many balloons were brought in? I didn't know.

He walked back into the room, "They said that they would come in a few hours."

The doctors came in to get me for my X-Ray.They took my out of the room on a wheelchair. Bodi got up. I guessed he was going acrossed the street to get some food while he waited. It was adorable how worried about me he was. I loved him. The X-Ray room was dark. I didn't have to change because I was already in a hospital gown. Who changed me? They laid me on an uncomfortable cot looking thing. They took the X-Rays. It took forever. I couldn't wait to get out of here.

They took me back to my room. They set me back on the bed. I was so tired. Bodi came in a few minutes later. "Do you mind if I sleep?"

He smiled, "Not at all. Even if your sleeping I'm never going to leave your side. I love you babe."

I smiled back. I shut my eyes. I started to wonder if they had me on pain meds. I drifted back asleep.

I awoke again to a bunch of giggles and people talking. I opened my eyes and blinked a few times. My friends were gathered around the bed.

"Hey guys."

They looked sad and they started to smile but it dropped. What was going on?

Hannah looked at me. She had been crying. "The doctors say you broke your knee. They have to put it in a cast. It will be a while. They don't know if you will be able to walk on that knee due to your earlier injury."
